I G T n I n T A I E W F nE nTER U m O A C R G O HOL As a result of a two-year development, FIA will introduce in 2013 a new homologation guarantee that includes a counterfeit hologram, a log for all the homologated products and an official list of the approved manufacturers. This is a significant step forward in guaranteeing the authenticity and origin of equipments establishing a solid barrier against non-hom o l o ga t e d a n d u n s a f e c o u n t e r f e i t e d products. This regulation was first introduced in 2012 for the seats and as of January 1st, 2013 will be in force for fire retardant suits, harnesses, helmets and head & neck devices. This new regulation will not significantly impact dealers and consumers; it’s simply an additional guarantee on the product conformity.

RACInG OMP developments for 2013 focused mainly on increasing comfort for both drivers and teams. An important contribution to the driver’s comfort is the “Dry System” patented technology. “Dry System” items create zone of high breathability aligned with strategic areas of the body. The high breathability areas vent out heat and reduce body temperature, improving driver performance and resistance to fatigue. The “Dry System” technology is present in the ONE product line for suits (One Evo and One-S) and underwear both. The combination of suit and underwear using “Dry System” develops the full benefit of this technology, maximizing comfort and performances. One underwear also features a tubular construction that minimize the number of seams, and new engineered cuts, for a comfort without compromises.

Another key factor for driver comfort are shoes, and OMP has invested many efforts and resources in developing its 2013 shoe models. We are proud to present the One Shoes collection, that represent a huge step forward in shoe comfort, thank to its new foot support and shoe construction technology, that includes an ultrathin injected sole for maximum grip and very direct feeling on the pedals, an internal polypropylene reinforcement to reduce fatigue and protect the foot from sharp objects, comfort foams to reduce localized pressure points, and 2 extra layers of thermal insulation, that will be especially appreciated in vehicles with a very hot front firewall. Not only the One Shoe collection, but practically all of OMP shoes have been

re-designed with great attention to details that resulted in a significant comfort improvement and great aesthetic. Last but absolutely not least, OMP introduces this year our new One-S glove, a glove that will satisfy even the most exigent drivers. An ultrathin high grip palm designed to minimize efforts combines with a re-engineered shape and all external seams to reach unprecedented comfort and performance. Our longstanding best seller glove Speed has also undergone a light technical revision, and is now presented as First-S. Improvements on comfort and performances, new accessories and new style details have also been introduced in our intercom line (the improved items are identified by the “2013 MY” words) and in our helmet line. Motorsport is a team effort , and we also focused on improving comfort for the crew. Thanks to our winning experience in the WEC World Championship and in the Le Mans 24 Hours, as well as our experience with FIA crew items, we are introducing significant new details for crew suits and shoes. Last but not least, a new XS size has been added to our TRS seat model, as compact cars become more and more common in racing grounds. BREATH ABLE DRY SYSTEM PATENT PENDING: New breathable material inserts are strategically located on back and lumbar area for maximum cooling in hot conditions (for maximum cooling effect, One suits should be used along with One Underwear). Very often drivers incur situations in which the regulation of body temperature is compromised and the risk of hyperthermia is very high. The increase in body temperature increases the feeling of fatigue, dramatically reduces performance and potentially can lead to circumstances which increase the risk of accidents. TYRE WARMERS A line of tyre warmers available in 4 different standard sizes, offering greater versatility across a wider range of tyre sizes and now available in two types: with a standard temperature control thermostat or with a central electronic temperature control box.

Tyre warmers models with a Standard Temperature Control Thermostat allows the tyre surface to reach 70/80 °C. The time required to reach this temperature is depends on ambient temperature, tyre dimensions and operating conditions.

Interior: Nomex®. Exterior: Cordura® which improves transpiration allowing moisture to escape away from the tyre. Electrical cables and connectors are compliant with EEC electrical standards.
