Bibia (respected women) and children who attained Shaheedi at Mir Mannu’s Jail Mir Mannu put a price on Sikhs heads. Many were arrested and brought to Lahore. Mir Mannu made the bibia grind 40 pounds of grain a day, children were hung on spears, cut into pieces and made into a garland to be placed on the mothers. Even then the bibia and children kept singing Kirtan and repeating WaheGuru, they refused to convert to Islam and consequently died as Shaheeds.
Shaheed Subeg Singh & Shaheed Bhai Shabaz Singh Bhai Subeg Singh was arrested for refusing to convert to Islam and spy on the Sikhs. Their son; Bhai Shabaz Singh, was told by the maulvi to convert to Islam and marry his daughter, Bhai Shabaz Singh refused. Both father and son were then tortured to death on a rotating wheel. Shaheed Bhai Mani Singh Ji They refused to pay 5000 rupees to the Mughals for the Bandi Chorr celebration at Harmandir Sahib, as the Mughal army planned to attack whilst Sikhs would be celebrating.
