Lets you see so much, it’s practically transparent. You always want to keep your eyes on the road. The Odyssey is equipped with advanced driver-assisting technology to help you do just that. On the Touring trim, there’s the Blind Spot Information system1 (BSI), which is designed to notify you of vehicles entering either blind spot, using indicator lights. You can also get a better look at what’s behind you with the standard expanded view driver’s mirror, standard rearview camera1 or the available multi-angle rearview camera1.

This available feature uses a camera on the passenger-side mirror designed to greatly reduce your blind spot on that side. Signal right and a live video displays on your dashboard screen, revealing nearly four times more area than the mirror alone.

A rearview camera comes standard on the Odyssey, so you can get a better view of what’s behind you. The available multi-angle rearview camera1 has three different angles, including wide, normal and topdown, for added perspective and easier reversing.

Functionality makes its way into every inch of the Odyssey, including the engine bay, which features a 3.5-litre i-VTEC® V6 engine that delivers 248 horsepower1 and 250 lb.-ft. of torque.1 Together with Variable Cylinder Management® (VCM®) and the standard 6-speed automatic transmission, the Odyssey achieves one of the best fuel economy ratings in its class for an 8-passenger minivan2,3. Add in the fun-driving nature of the variable-power-assisted rack-and-pinion steering and multi-link rear suspension, and you have a minivan that performs with the spirit of something much smaller. 1. Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA®) with Traction Control

Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS)

To help with safe stopping, the 4-wheel Anti-lock Braking System1 (ABS) is designed to help you maintain control under hard braking conditions, while Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD) helps to optimize braking power based on weight distribution inside the vehicle. Further, Brake Assist is engineered to help improve braking performance by applying full brake pressure when a panic stop is detected.

Vehicle Stability Assist1 with Traction Control is designed to sense and help correct oversteer and understeer scenarios to enhance handling and cornering stability, while Traction Control is designed to minimize wheel spin when accelerating on loose or slippery surfaces, helping to inspire greater driver confidence.

For enhanced safety and fuel efficiency, the Tire Pressure Monitoring System3 continually checks the air pressure in each tire. If pressure drops in any one tire, the driver receives a dashboard alert.

Forward Collision Warning (FCW) system

Lane Departure Warning (LDW) system

The available Forward Collision Warning system1,2 uses an onboard camera designed to detect the presence of vehicles in front of you and issue alerts if you’re approaching with too much speed.

Using a camera behind the rearview mirror, the available Lane Departure Warning system1,2 is designed to monitor vehicle lane position and alert you when your vehicle drifts into a new lane when you haven’t signaled.

The highly innovative, next generation Advanced Compatibility Engineering (ACE) II body structure is engineered to help disperse frontal impact energy to enhance occupant protection, while more effectively controlling it in severe collisions, to help prevent intrusion into the passenger cabin.

Like all Honda trucks, the Odyssey is built with a rigid unit-body frame for added strength, stability and vehicle handling.

The cabin of the Odyssey is lined with six standard airbags. It features dual-stage, multiple-threshold front airbags (SRS) as well as three-row side curtain airbags with rollover sensors, which are designed to deploy the side curtain airbags in the event of a rollover. Plus, it has Smartvent™ side airbags, which are designed to deploy safely in a manner that mitigates the risk of injury to out-of-position or smaller occupants.

The Odyssey helps prepare you for the unexpected with 3-point height-adjustable front seat belts with automatic tensioning system and 3-point rear seat belts in the second and third rows.

The Odyssey features childproof rear door locks, as well as rear seat Lower Anchors and Tethers for Children (LATCH), which helps provide secure child-seat restraint.

Innovative pedestrian safety features include energy-absorbing hood and front fenders and deformable wiper pivots.
