2018 KA201 Application Assessment Feedback for: 2018-1-UK01-KA201-047962 Organisation Name: Westcountry Schools Trust Application Reference Number: 2018-1-UK01-KA201-047962 Project Title: Adverse Childhood Experiences: Improving Life Chances Through Interprofessional Collaboration Overall Score: 88 / 100 Overall Comments from the External Expert: Relevance of the project This is an extremely commendable project being undertaken by a team of widely respected professionals working together to tackle a major social problem that is affecting nations globally. The objectives are achievable and take into consideration the knowledge and skills of all partners who are recognized as experts in their field. The needs of the group have been well researched by the participant organisations with an emphasis on innovative inter professional collaboration experiences through a range of specific activities geared to the eventual goals. Quality of the project design and implementation The use of a bank of recognised tools which includes Gantt charts, as well as Europass, will help to provide qualitative and quantitative monitoring and evaluation procedures and will add to the necessary information regarding value for money. There is an aspect of conflict in the request for exceptional costs. While the requested materials and use of external experts are acceptable, exceptional costs will not cover the venue hire for these events. However, the overall budgetary requirements appear appropriate as long as the use of administrative staff and managers falls within the budget required for these purposes. Quality of the project team and the cooperation arrangements The team has put together a well-structured and comprehensive outline of all aspects of the project. It is positive to see that there is appropriate sharing of roles and responsibilities using the specific expertise of each partner. The management and administrative structures ensure continuity of approach and accountability. Impact and dissemination The global problems that nations face in light of major inequality require attention and this outstanding project should go a long way to adding to present knowledge and approach to addressing this problem. The already existing experience in the partnership of previous European projects will enhance the probability of a wide dissemination and consequently a widening of the impact in relation to addressing this project. The innovative nature of the project across a number of European partners has as a goal the increase not only in a body of knowledge available to themselves but also a sustainable bank of material to be shared and built upon over the future.
