Variable sites are listed by their dbSNP identifier or position in build hg18 of the human genome sequence for sites not in the dbSNP database. All sites fall within non-coding regions of the gene except for the position marked with a single asterisk (which indicates a synonymous variant) and the position marked with a double asterisk (which indicates a non-synonymous variant). Blue boxes indicate homozygosity for the ancestral allele (inferred from comparison with P. troglodytes), yellow indicates homozygosity for the derived allele, and red indicates heterozygotes.
