A Celebration Card instructions: With the back of the January Foundation paper facing you, cut a piece from the bottom right corner of the sheet to measure 10” wide x 6 ½” high. Score the paper down the middle to create a card that measures 5” wide x 6 ½” high when it is folded. (the grey scroll will be on the front of the card in the bottom right corner). To create the base of the card, cut a piece of the snowflake paper from the January Cut-aparts paper 3” x 2” and a second piece of snowflake paper 1” x 2”. Using the photo as a guide, adhere the larger piece of the snowflake paper to the card front in the top right corner, approx 1/8” down from the top and ¼” in from the black diamond pattern on the right side. From the scraps you have from the first

card, cut or punch three squares from the July Cut-Apart paper 1” x 1”. Carefully cut-out the McCall’s Magazine postcard from the January Cut-Aparts sheet. Adhere a piece of scrap cardboard to the back of this postcard and adhere foam mounting tape to it for dimension. Using the photo as a guide, tuck the three small 1” squares

of red paper and the second strip of snowflake paper under the McCalls postcard before you adhere it down.

To complete the front of the card, you will need to construct a pinwheel. Cut a 12” x 1 ¼” strip from the patterned paper side

of the January Cut-Apart sheet, having the red “Happy New Year” strip at the top of your 1 ¼” (your strip will begin with the red piece and finish in the blue dot area of the paper). Cut the top edge (red edge) with scallop scissors and then score the paper between each scallop. Accordion fold the piece of paper on the score lines. Bring the two ends together and join with a strong hold adhesive to form a circle. Once this is dry and the ends are secure, add some glue to the center of the rosette and push down on it to form a pinwheel shape and hold it in place until it is dry (a hot glue gun or strong hold adhesive is suggested for this step. Adhere the pinwheel to the card. Punch a 1” circle from the red dot paper on the July Cut-apart sheet and adhere to the center of the rosette. To complete the rosette, cut out the G45 postmark from the sentiments sheet in the top left corner and adhere it to the pinwheel.
