1 am the Past President ofthe Toronto Chapter of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA). The purpose for my email is to
convey my support for yo ur Aud itor General, Mr. Ron Foster, CIA, CRMA,.CISA, CFE, CMA, PMP.
My dea lings with Mr. Foster commenced in 2004 and continue today through our mutual involvement with the IIA
Toronto Chapter. Mr. Foster has shown, and continues to demonstrate an unwavering commitment to the profession
and the ethical values required by the profession. He has made a significant contribution to the internal audit
profession, and to the public sector in particular. He has served as the Chair of the Government Relations Committee of
the Toronto Chapte r since 2007- serving a sector of the profession that is often underserved as the needs are not we ll
understood by those outside of the sector. He is well known and respected within the internal audit community, of
which I have been a part of for over 15 years.
You are fortunate to have such a distinguished individual with strong character as your Auditor General. I hope you
provide the necessary support to permit him to adequat ely discharge his responsibilities.
