Note 1: It is necessary to hold either: a credit for the Airframe/Engine Core course (JTP002) or hold the B767-200/300 Group 20 Airframe rating and at least one engine rating fitted to the B767 in order to obtain the full course credit necessary for the grant of a rating. This applies to courses conducted after 7 November 1992. Note 2: This course is recorded for historic purposes. The course was approved for “once only” application. Note 3: These courses are designed to provide differences training for the grant of a PW4000 Series (B767) licence rating. Applicants holding a PW4000 (B747-400) rating will attend courses 1 and 2. If a full GS training credit is held for an engine fitted to the B767 either course 1 coupled with either the full course 2 or course 2 (No APU) will meet the training requirements for applicants holding a PW4000 (B747-400) rating. Applicants holding a PW4000 A300-600/A310 rating will attend courses 1 and 3. Applicants holding a credit for the course JTP002 are exempt from attending course 1. The eligibility of all applicants to attend the PW4000 conversion courses will be assessed by AME Personnel Licensing. Note 4: It is necessary to hold a credit for the Airframe/Engine Core course in order to obtain the full examination credit necessary for the grant of a rating. This applies to courses conducted after 07 November 1992. Note 5: This course is identical to JTP003 less the APU content. Candidates will therefore be required to hold a full GS credit (or licence rating) for another engine fitted to the B767 in addition to the entry criteria for JTP003. Note 6: To obtain FS credit, a credit must be held for both JTP001& JTP002 (Airframe/Engine core). Note 7: This course is designed for Jetstar Engineers who have completed Airbus SAS A330200/300 (GE CF6) B1.1 Theory Type Course and have completed the Practical Accelerated Training Course conducted by HAECO.

Note 1: Waiver of Mandatory Specific to Type Instrument Training Course Requirements – Instrument Group 20. CASA recognizes that some Group 20 Aircraft (mainly Corporate Jet) have instruments fits that are substantially the same for different aircraft types. The CASA approved courses for such aircraft are often comprised of two sections – a general aircraft type course and a specific to type instrument course. Note 2: If a LAME holds a Group 20 instrument category rating, pertaining to a particular instrument fit eg; Collins Proline 21, and wants to gain a subsequent Group 20 instrument rating on an aircraft with the same instrument fit, that LAME may apply to Maintenance Personnel Licensing for recognition of that rating. Whilst the applicant would still be expected to complete the general aircraft type course it is possible that the specific to type instrument course training requirement would be waived. Note 3: Successful completion of the course when combined with Cessna Jet (CJ1, 2or 3) general type course or Maintenance initial course (MIC) where applicable will give the following CASA Specific Type examination credit IS. Note 4: Successful completion of the course when combined with Raytheon general type course or Maintenance initial course (MIC) where applicable will give the following CASA Specific Type examination credit IS.
