Regents vs. Advanced Regents Diplomas
REGENTS DIPLOMA WITH ADVANCED DESIGNATION In addition to the requirements for the Regents diploma, students must also earn/pass: 2 additional course credits in French or Spanish Foreign Language Checkpoint B Exam (formerly the NYS Regents) 2 additional Regents exams in math (Geometry and Algebra II/Trig) A second Regents exam in science (one of the two must be Living Environment).

Why have a rigorous schedule?
Earn College Credits
Most colleges and universities grant college credit for students who score a 3 or higher on an AP exam (typically the equivalent to one college course). Recent graduates have entered college with 15+ credits which qualified them as a 2nd semester freshmen allowed them to register for classes earlier made them eligible to graduate early and save a half year of tuition
