ENTRANCE TEST NOTICE FOR ADMISSION TO POSTGRADUATE DEGREE (MD/MS) COURSES IN AYURVEDA An MCQ type competitive test for admission to MD/MS Courses in Rajiv Gandhi Govt. PostGraduate Ayurvedic College, Paprola, Distt. Kangra, H.P.-176115 will be held on 08-09-2013 (Sunday) at Shimla Examination Centres. SEATS:KayaChikitsa=6,ShalyaTantra=4,Shalakya Tantra=4, Samhita Sidhanta=4, Ras Shastra=3, Prasuti Tantra & Stri Roga=3, Bal Roga=3, Dravya Guna=3, Panchkarma =3, Swasthvrita=3 and Rog Nidan =3. Out of which 50% i.e.19 seats as Group-I will be filled up from amongst (a) Himachal Pradesh Govt. In-Service Ayurvedic Medical Officers who are Bonafide Himachalies and (b) bonafide Himachalies Ayurvedic Graduates of Himachal Pradesh University/ or any other University recognized by the CCIM, New Delhi. Remaining 20 seats as Group –II will be filled up through open competition on All India Basis as per Group-II. All bonafide Himachalies of Group- 1 shall also be considered on merit for group-II. Eligibility Conditions: (i) A candidate should have passed BAMS or its Equivalent degree of 5 ½ years minimum duration (including rotatory internship) from the recognized Institution/ University latest by the date of Counselling. (ii) Only such regular Ayurvedic Medical Officers in the department of Ayurveda (H.P.) under Group-I will be eligible who have rendered five years service including adhoc service, if any out of which at least three years service in rural areas or two years service in Hard/ Trible Areas and should have minimum eight years of service left for superannuation after completion of Postgraduate Degree in Ayurveda. PROCEDURE FOR OBTAINING THE PROSPECTUS: (i) By Cash: For prescribed application form and detailed information etc., the prospectus can be obtained at the University Examination Enquiry-cum-Sale Counter No.1, Library Building (Basement) Summer Hill,Shimla-5 from 15.07.2013 to 12.08.2013 during working hours on payment of Rs.2000/- only for All Categories. (ii)By Post: The request for obtaining the prospectus by post must be addressed to the Deputy Registrar (Entrance Tests), Room No.10 (Ground Floor), Administrative Block, H.P. University, Shimla-171005 accompanied by crossed IPOs/ Bank Draft ( with Name and Address written on the back side) amounting to Rs.2100/-( Rs.two thousand one hundred only) for all categories drawn in favour of the Finance Officer, H.P. University, Shimla-5 and the same shall be entertained up to 27.07.2013. The candidate must write “Request for MD/MS (Ayurveda) Prospectus-2013” on the the envelope containing letter with complete mailing address in CAPITAL LETTERS and telephone/ Mobile number. Note: It will be the entire responsibility of the candidates to procure the prospectus well in time and submit the application form complete in all respects within the stipulated date. The University will not be responsible for any lapse on this account or postal delay for non-receipt or misplacement or loss of prospectus in transit.
