BASEBALL ALL-STARS SELECTED BY MIKE DYER BASED ON AREA COACHES' RECOMMENDATIONS

DIVISIONS II-IV CO-PLAYERS OF THE YEAR Ryan Arington, Cincinnati Christian: The junior shortstop/pitcher hit .511 with 42 RBI, nine home runs, eight doubles and 10 triples. He scored 46 runs, had 46 hits and was 25 of 25 in stolen bases. On the mound, he was 6-0 with a 0.46 ERA. He struck out 73 batters. He was the Division IV state player of the year. Andrew Benintendi, Madeira: The junior outfielder/pitcher hit .564 with 10 home runs, 14 doubles, seven triples, 47 RBI and 23 stolen bases. On the mound, he was 6-2 with 65 strikeouts and a 1.94 ERA in 10 games. He was the Division III state player of the year.

DIVISIONS II-IV CO-COACHES OF THE YEAR Chris Fiehrer, Wyoming: He led the Cowboys to the Division II regional final. Wyoming finished with a 17-12 record. It was Wyoming’s first regional final appearance in baseball. Brion Treadway, Badin: He led the Rams to the Division III regional final. Badin had a 21-8 record.

DIVISIONS II-IV FIRST-TEAM Harrison senior outfielder Kyle Nowlin hit .575 with 17 extra-base hits, 19 RBI and 22 stolen bases.

DIVISION I PLAYER OF THE YEAR Kyle Nowlin, Harrison: The senior outfielder was first-team all-state and the Fort Ancient Valley Conference West division player of the year. He hit .575 with six doubles, eight triples, three home runs, 19 RBI and 22 stolen bases.

DIVISION I COACH OF THE YEAR Tim Held, Moeller: He led the Crusaders (26-5) to the state title with a 9-6 win over Westlake in Columbus. It was Moeller’s sixth state baseball title.

DIVISION I FIRST TEAM Brian Burkhart, Moeller: The senior pitcher was 10-1 with 59 strikeouts and a 0.86 ERA. He threw a no-hitter in the regional semifinal against Anderson. He was second-team all-state. Ty Amann, Moeller: The senior infielder was second-team all-state and Greater Catholic League South division co-player of the year. He hit .376 with eight doubles, eight triples, 18 RBI and eight stolen bases.

Ryan LeFevers, Moeller: The senior outfielder was first-team all-GCL South. He hit .345 with 14 RBI and 29 stolen bases. Spencer Iacovone, Moeller: The junior was firstteam all-GCL South. He hit .403 with nine doubles, five home runs and 26 RBI. Connor McVey, Mason: The junior infielder was the Greater Miami Conference player of the year. He helped lead the Comets to a GMC title. Michael Conrad, Lakota East: The senior pitcher was second-team all-state. He was first-team all-GMC. He had 100 strikeouts and a 1.83 ERA. Zak Farmer, Lakota West: The senior infielder was second-team all-state and first-team all-GMC. He hit .411 with nine doubles, two triples, two home runs and 22 RBI. Zach Beckner, Lebanon: The junior infielder was second-team all-state and first-team all-Greater Western Ohio Conference. Nate Lynch, Talawanda: The junior outfielder was second-team all-state and first-team all-Fort Ancient Valley Conference West division. David Morton, Turpin: The senior infielder was the FAVC East player of the year. He hit .463 with six doubles, three triples, 26 RBI and 12 stolen bases. Joe Gellenbeck, St. Xavier: The junior infielder was GCL South co-player of the year. He hit .379 with seven doubles and 30 RBI.

Kenny Kerr, Summit Country Day: The senior was Division III second-team allstate. He was first-team all-Miami Valley Conference Scarlet division. He was 6-2 with a 1.54 ERA as a pitcher. He hit .376 with 24 RBI, five doubles, 17 stolen bases and two home runs at the plate. Austin Skaggs, New Richmond: The senior outfielder/pitcher was Division II firstteam all-state. He was first-team all-Southern Buckeye Conference American division. Tanner Sanders, Clermont Northeastern: The senior pitcher/outfielder was Division II honorable mention all-state. He was first-team all-SBC American. Max Kadish, Wyoming: The senior shortstop/pitcher was first-team all-Cincinnati Hills League. He hit .494 with nine doubles, 31 RBI and 15 stolen bases. As a pitcher, he had 49 strikeouts and a 2.01 ERA. Jacob Banks, Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy: The junior pitcher was Division III first-team all-state. He was the Miami Valley Conference Scarlet division player of the year. He was 8-0 with an 0.81 ERA with 67 strikeouts. Ryan Gormley, Batavia: The junior was Division III first-team all-state. He was the Southern Buckeye Conference National division player of the year. Zack Jansen, Madeira: The junior shortstop/pitcher was Division III first-team allstate. He was first-team all-CHL. Ted Andrews, Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy: The senior pitcher/first baseman was Division III second-team all-state. He was first-team all-MVC Scarlet. Ryan Ferrell, Seven Hills: The senior pitcher/middle infielder was Division IV firstteam all-state. He was first-team all-MVC Scarlet. Reeve Hoover, Cincinnati Country Day: The senior shortstop was Division IV second-team all-state. He was first-team all-MVC Scarlet. Austin Rieman, Badin: The junior catcher was the Greater Catholic League Central division player of the year. Tyler Hacker, Bethel-Tate: The senior pitcher was the Southern Buckeye Conference American division player of the year. He was 5-0 with a 1.52 ERA and 61 strikeouts in 47 innings.

DIVISIONS II-IV PLAYER OF THE YEAR Montana Wear, Felicity-Franklin: The senior pitcher was Division III first-team all-state. She was the Southern Buckeye Conference National division player of the year. She was 24-1 with 18 shutouts and 338 strikeouts with a 0.21 ERA. She also hit .483 with seven home runs, five doubles, two triples and 22 RBI.

DIVISIONS II-IV COACH OF THE YEAR Rob Wear, Felicity-Franklin: He led Felicity to the Division III state semifinals. Felicity finished with a 24-1 record.

DIVISIONS II-IV FIRST TEAM Emily Anderson, Clermont Northeastern: The junior pitcher was Division III first-team all-state. She was the SBC American division player of the year.

DIVISION I PLAYER OF THE YEAR

Kaitlyn Bergman, Lebanon: The sophomore catcher hit .464 with 12 home runs, seven doubles and 49 RBI. She was the Greater Western Ohio Conference South division player of the year.

Lauren Slatten, Oak Hills: The junior pitcher was the Greater Miami Conference player of the year. She was 19-12 with 390 strikeouts and a 1.33 ERA. She had six shutouts. She also hit .404 with 19 RBI, seven doubles and three triples.

Tara Trainer, Lebanon: The freshman pitcher was 16-2 with 178 strikeouts and a 0.69 ERA. She was first-team all-GWOC.

DIVISION I COACH OF THE YEAR Brian Kindell, Lebanon: He led Lebanon to a state runner-up finish and a final record of 31-2. Lebanon was No. 2 in the final state coaches’ poll.

Mckena Miller, Clermont Northeastern: The junior hit .532 with 50 hits, 17 RBI, 11 triples and had 52 runs scored. Alicia Hansen, Fenwick: The sophomore was Division III second-team all-state. She was the Girls’ Greater Cincinnati League Grey North player of the year. Claire Carson, Fayetteville: The sophomore shortstop was Division III honorable mention all-state. She hit .625 with 41 RBI, 17 doubles and 18 stolen bases. Hillary White, Felicity: The senior catcher was first-team all-SBC National. She hit .422 with two home runs, two doubles, a triple, 15 RBI and 14 stolen bases. Caitlyn Calhoun, Talawanda: The senior pitcher was the Fort Ancient Valley Conference West division player of the year.

Rachael Oakley, McAuley: The junior second baseman was second-team all-state. She was the Girls’ Greater Cincinnati League Scarlet division player of the year. She hit .600 with 34 stolen bases and 51 hits.

Anna Slusher, Reading: The junior pitcher was first-team all-Cincinnati Hills League. She hit .375 with 19 RBI. She was 17-7 with 214 strikeouts as a pitcher.

Margo Hutchison, Mason: The senior catcher was second-team all-state. She was first-team all-GMC.

Taylor Riesenberg, Badin: The sophomore was the GGCL Grey Central player of the year.

Kayla Gregory, Glen Este: The sophomore shortstop was second-team all-state. She was first-team all-Fort Ancient Valley Conference East division.

Anna Wolford, Cincinnati Christian: The junior was the Miami Valley Conference Scarlet division player of the year.

Lea Buckenmyer, Lakota East: The junior pitcher was second-team all-state. She was first-team all-GMC.

Ana Walter, Lebanon: The senior shortstop was first-team all-state. She hit . 429 with four home runs, eight doubles and 31 RBI.

Kelly Browning, Fairfield: The senior third baseman was honorable mention all-state and first-team all-GMC.

Casie Hutchinson, Lebanon: The junior third baseman was first-team all-state. She hit .469 with 12 doubles and 42 RBI.

Ashley Sharp, Lakota West: The sophomore pitcher was honorable mention all-state and firstteam all-GMC.

Caitlin Hilberg, Cincinnati Country Day: The senior was the MVC Gray player of the year. She hit .532 with 29 RBI. Morgan Nickell, Western Brown: She led the team in hitting (.387) and RBI (35). She was 15-4 with a 1.22 ERA as a pitcher.
