Das Büro wird von den Gründungspartnern Prof. Julia B. Bolles-Wilson und Peter L. Wilson geleitet.

For BOLLES+WILSON architecture is a symbiosis of the conceptual and the pragmatic, of the everyday and of the exceptional, of the radically different scales of urban planning, buildings, their immediate context, their spatially balanced interiors and the objects that render them not only useful but also comfortable. Established in London in 1980, BOLLES+WILSON have been based in Münster since 1989. The office is led by the founding partners Prof. Julia B. Bolles-Wilson and Peter L. Wilson.

BOLLES+WILSON are internationally known for a consistently high architectural quality in a wide range of projects, each an individual solution developed with careful consideration to the cultural and the urbanistic context which it must enhance. The program, whether cultural (New Luxor Theatre Rotterdam; 1,500 seats), Residential/Office (Falkenried Hamburg; German Urban Design Prize 2004) or Retail / Entertainment (Spuimarkt Block Den Haag; 52,000 sqm shopping and cinema; Shopping Centre of the Year NL 2009) is always the generator of the building form. Our philosophy is to ennoble the practical necessities and the purpose a building must serve through creative invention. Ultimately the technical, the programmatic as well as issues of sustainability must be simply and elegantly synthesised as architecture and as spaces with a distinctive and unique character. BOLLES+WILSON are based in Germany but operate internationally with projects in Albania, Australia, Denmark, Italy, Japan, Korea, Lebanon, the Netherlands and United Kingdom. In each location we collaborate intensively with local partners.

Unsere Philosophie konzentriert sich auf die Inszenierung der praktischen Notwendigkeiten und der Aufgabe, die ein Gebäude durch kreative Erfindung erfüllen muss. Letztlich müssen das Praktische, das Technische wie auch die Nachhaltigkeit auf selbstverständliche und elegante Weise in Architektur und in Räume mit einer besonderen und ganz eigenen Aura verwandelt werden. BOLLES+WILSON haben ihren Sitz in Deutschland, operieren aber international mit Projekten in Albanien, Australien, Dänemark, Großbritannien, Italien, Japan, Korea, Libanon und den Niederlanden. An jedem Standort gibt es eine enge Kooperation mit lokalen Partnerbüros.
