Anahtar Kelimeler SOZ.448 Analysis of Communication Skills of Blind Athletes According to Visual Impairments ABSTRACT "This research was supported by Cumhuriyet Universty, the Department of Scientific Research Projects (CÜBAP) with the number is BEDSports is one of the most important tools that contribute to the socialization of individuals. Particularly sports is very important factor to integrate into society for disabilities individuals. In this context the purpose of the research is the analysis of communication skills of blind athletes who are sport in various branches according to visual impairments. The scanning method was used for the descriptive of communication skills of blind athletes. In the re of demographic characteristics of 170 blind athletes who sport as active with athletes licences. On other hand The Communication Skill Scale developed by Korkut (1996) was used to determine communication skill of blind athletes. In the analysis of data, percentage (%), mean and Standard deviation values were presented. The discrimination tests (One way anova, t test) were done to determine different values. When examining to the findings were obtained, %90 athletes have got bachelor and under education levels, %81,8 athletes have sported in 2 years and more years. As a results when the athletes communication skills were considered, their communication skills are very high level. There is not significant variety in communication skills abide by vision degree of blind athletes. This was obtained in a similar type in this research was examined that sport provides the positive contributions of disabilities socialization with the other humans as a means of sports.
