Filmmaker Bob Bartel, creator of the documentary “George Harrison: A Beatle in Benton, Illinois,” will take you on a journey through Harrison’s time in Illinois, just five months before George’s band became a household name in America.

PLANETARIUM CONSTRUCTION DAY Tuesday, July 11, 4-7 pm

Join in the fun as we bring the stars a little bit closer to Morton Grove and build a freestanding planetarium. Help us erect the structure and then stop by on July 12 and 13 for programming inside the planetarium.

The Baxter Room will open 10 minutes before each scheduled start-time and programs will begin on time. Doors close when the program starts and we cannot let attendees in after that time. Capacity is limited in the planetarium. Should there be more attendees than fit, a repeat of the program will take place immediately following the scheduled time. Only official Summer Reading shirts will be tie-dyed. This program will be held out on the blacktop behind the Library (weather permitting).
