BOSTON UNIVERSITY WHITNEY M. YOUNG, JR. FELLOWSHIP 2013-2014

Boston University annually awards a Whitney M. Young, Jr. Fellowship in recognition of the outstanding contributions made by Whitney M. Young, Jr., particularly in the fields of social work, urban studies, and Afro-American Studies. An applicant should be an entering or continuing graduate student who is a U.S. citizen. The recipient of this award will be selected on the basis of having displayed academic proficiency in a field related to race relations or urban problems. The fellowship provides a stipend for living expenses, Boston University basic health insurance, plus a scholarship for full tuition and fees for one year. All applicants must provide the completed application form to the Committee prior to the deadline below. Continuing students must provide a current, official transcript from Boston University. Entering graduate students must provide official transcripts and GRE reports. All applicants must obtain references from three referees, who should complete the attached forms and provide them separately to the Committee. All materials must be received by February 15, 2013.
