Box 8700, St. John's, NL, Canada A1B 4J6 Newly identified outcrops of the Lower Ordovician St. George Group exposed on a logging road north of Bonne Bay Little Pond contain brachiopods, cephalopods, gastropods, trace fossils, and a trilobite, identified as Hystricurus sp. nov. This identification is assessed in the light of the recent extensive reclassification of the Family HYSTRICURIDAE Hupé, 1953 by Adrain and others. .
