History and milestones
ENVIROMETRICS ltd is a business consulting and engineer consulting firm, established in 2002. Main areas of activity are environmental monitoring and measurements, health and safety at work, and business consulting with special focus on energy and carbon management. In 2003, ENVIROMETRICS ltd was licenced by the Greek Ministry of Labor as external consultancy for the provision of health and safety services. In 2007 the company was certified with quality management system ISO 9001:2008. The first important milestone was during 2008 when our emission monitoring lab received its ISO/IEC 17025:2005 accreditation from the Hellenic Accreditation System S.A. (E.SY.D.). During years 2009 and 2010 we extended our services including business consulting and health and safety at work since new partners entered the company bringing the broad experience. At the same time, in the context of the company’s growth both in infrastructure and staffing needs, we moved to a new building in order to have a modern and more functional space for our office and laboratory. At this point, we employ over 15 experts with excellent industrial process understanding and international experience. In 2012 we extended our scope of accreditation including new emission monitoring and ambient measurement methods. 1.3

Environmental measurements and monitoring
Urban and industrial air pollution is a key environmental concern in today’s world. Legislation at European and International level is asking for more detailed monitor of industrial emissions and ambient air pollution levels in order to assess impacts on the people’s health. This can place a significant burden on many organizations with regard to time, expertise and resources. Our flexible monitoring programs provide a cost-effective way of deploying instrumentation on short, medium or long term projects and support the organizations activities and needs. Our packages range from straightforward supply and installation of monitoring equipment to a full monitoring service including all routine site operations, data management, data analysis and reporting.
2.1.1 Emission Monitoring ENVIROMETRICS is an accredited ISO/IEC 17025:2005 emission monitoring laboratory. State of the art sampling and emissions measuring systems, high standard personnel competency, experienced sampling team and deep understanding of industrial processes make ENVIROMETRICS the ideal choice for emission monitoring and industrial process testing projects. We focus on our clients needs and work closely with them in order to understand the project needs and requirements. We offer national and international coverage and provision of fast service response. We have an extensive scope of accreditation and worked with large combustion plants, waste incineration, cement, steel and metal industries, chemical and fertilizers, etc.

2.1.2 Calibration and Quality assurance of automated measuring systems Plant operators need to periodically verify that automatic measurement systems (AMS/CEMs) work correctly. Therefore, installations that continuously measure and monitor exhaust gas should perform Annual Surveillance Test (AST) and Quality Assurance Level 2 (QAL2) in compliance with EN 14181–Quality assurance of automated measuring systems (AMS) for all AMS/CEMs. All testing laboratories carrying QAL2 and AST must apply Standard Reference Method (SRM) measurements and must be accredited to EN ISO/IEC 17025. ENVIROMETRICS is holds EN ISO/IEC 17025:2005 accreditation to carry out the process of QAL2/AST of automated measuring systems AMS/CEMs.

2.1.4 Waste sampling, characterization and stabilization Envirometrics ltd undertakes sampling and analysis for both industrial and municipal of solid wastes in order to determine its physical and chemical characteristics and suggest the appropriate management and disposal treatment methods. Energy and Climate
Since climate change is the major political and financial international issue, energy saving and reduction of CO2 go together. Envirometrics ltd has develop Energy Saving Plans and CO2 reduction programs for several local authorities in Greece.
