Facts On average, 137 cancers are diagnosed in children per year The most commonly diagnosed cancers in children are leukaemia, lymphoma and brain/central nervous system (CNS) Unlike adult cancers, little is known about the risk factors for childhood cancers 81% of children, diagnosed with cancer, survive for 5 years or longer, which is very close to the European average
