Parker Street Ministries’ Christmas Store: Allows parents to purchase new toys for a quarter of their retail cost; Takes over $17,000 worth of toys to make the store happen; Helps an impoverished neighborhood where 72% live below the poverty level; Enables parents to provide for their children, building dignity not dependence; Operates the second and third weekends in December; and Served 204 children in 2010, selling 1562 gifts.
