Christmas is coming, ready or not Christmas is coming, ready or not, and it should be no surprise that you never seem ready. Christmas has been crowding peoples’ calendars since its inception on 1/1/1. • Joseph’s Christmas preparations began early, when an angel interrupted his dreams instructing him to reschedule those canceled nuptials even though his fiancé had become miraculously (as well as inconveniently) pregnant. • Mary wasn't ready for a Christmas delivery – far from the comforts of home – but Bethlehem’s tax man would wait for no one. • It took a host of angels to persuade the shepherds, in the far off hills, to participate in the festivities. • The wisemen journeyed even further, stopping to unsettle the presiding King Herod with some news he was not ready for, either. Christmas comes, not when we are ready, but perhaps when we most need this annual reminder of what was truly the most blessed event the world would ever know. Christ, the King has come with a royal invitation that we, who are otherwise lost, might be adopted into His most regal of families. We, at Entrust, want to thank you for partnering with us to produce leaders equipped to carry that message around the world. Christmas is coming, and while we might not feel ready, we can be glad Jesus didn’t wait, but came when we needed Him most. Once again, so does Christmas.
