N E W S L E T T E R As another year draws to an end, it’s a good time to reflect on 2013. I am sure you will all agree that the weather has treated us far better than last year. The grass and grain harvests passed with relative ease compared to 2012 – which is far better for ALL of us! This year also saw the introduction of some new products from John Deere. The new 6MC and 6RC tractors were launched in Berlin. These 90-110hp compact sized tractors are due to start arriving to UK shores just after Christmas. The only tractors of this size that are built on a full frame chassis – like their big sisters 6M and 6R. Along with the tractors, we also saw the preview of the new F440R and F440M round balers. Equipped with many similar features to the new 900 series belt balers these fixed chamber roller balers will take the market by storm without doubt. We have already placed our orders for these new products so we will have machines for you to view in the new year. Oh and one more thing, we currently have some great offers on new tractors for Early 2014 delivery. L I B YA Happy Chappy in Libya We recently received this picture from one of our happy customers who runs Manitous in Libya. This Manitou had been exported to Libya but was decommissioned during the Civil War. It needed considerable repairs to get it running again, but thanks to some new parts and numerous conversations with our specialist Manitou technician, Brian, it is still in Libya and is now back up and running once again.

Ta n k S a f e Are you the only one using your fuel? The MOST effective anti-siphon at preventing 3rd party theft.  With the price of fuel always on the increase it will come as no shock to learn that the theft of fuel has also increased. As fuel is such a valuable commodity you will have taken steps to ensure the bulk storage tank is in a secure area with a lockable fuel tap, but what about the fuel in the tractor tank?  The TankSafe ‘Standard’ Anti-Siphon is the latest offering to prevent fuel theft from your vehicles fuel tank, the unique solid ‘Dome’ base design not only prevents someone draining the tank, but because of its short design and the filler neck of the fuel tank fitted to a wide range of John Deere propelled equipment it will also drastically limit skimming.   You will know instantly when someone has drained the fuel tank, but would you know if someone has skimmed 20 litres from the tank?
