Clickbank User Guide I know Clickbank can be a bit difficult and confusing for 1st time affiliates so I’ve put together this short guide with a few points on getting started, how the payment process works, and some links to the Clickbank FAQs section in case you have some more questions. Firstly I can assure you that Clickbank is a reputable payment company and you will get paid for the sales that you make, it just works a little differently to other payment companies.
Setup Your Account & Payment Settings
The first thing you should do is setup your account and the preferred payment details. This is VERY important to ensure that you get paid for all of the sales you make no matter how big or small. Your homepage When you first arrive at Clickbank you will see an overview of your homepage with a weekly sales snapshot. It will look something like this:

Fill in your settings – VERY IMPORTANT!! 1. Click on the settings tab from the right hand corner of the page.
Once you get to the settings page fill out your account information and your contact information. Most importantly fill in your payment information The payment section on the settings page will look something like this.
On the right hand side of the box, click the ‘edit’ button so that you can fill in the details. *You can choose your payment threshold, a figure anywhere between $10‐$10000. So if you think you’ll only make a few sales, set the number low so you will get paid for any sales you make. When you start making more sales you can change this amount to a higher number. Clickbank will pay you the amount once you reach the threshold each time but they do have a fee for dormant accounts (see below), so start with a low threshold. *Choose your payment method – you can either choose direct debit or payment via check. Payment by check is the default so if you want direct deposit you have to enable it. Click here to read Clickbanks instructions on how to do it. © Good Food Eating.com Clickbank Affiliate Guide
*Choose your payment frequency – once a week, once a month, bi‐weekly etc. *Fill out any other required fields to ensure you receive payment successfully. You can also check the reporting tab for more detailed figures and payment history.
That’s really all you have to worry about when it comes to setup as an affiliate. But these are important steps to do before you start promoting so that payments will be made to you the way you want them. A few other important things to be aware of Dormant Accounts If you have money in your account and your account lies dormant for 90 days, Clickbank charges $1 per pay period after 90 days of no earnings. $5 per pay period after 180 days of no earnings. That’s why it’s a good idea to set your payment threshold low at first to ensure you get payment for all your sales. If you set your account threshold to a high number you may find that you can’t reach the number and struggle to sell more Clickbank items. Initial Payment Policy All account holders must initially meet 5 sales, and the sales must have been made with at least two of these payment methods:
American Express, Carte Bleue, Diners Club, Discover, ELV (European Direct Debit), JCB, Maestro, MasterCard, PayPal, Visa. Clickbank does this to encourage affiliates to keep promoting products and keep their accounts active. They also do it to deter people who abuse their system and are trying to buy discount products for themselves. For US affiliates: After you earn $600 through Clickbank you will be required to provide your taxpayer ID number. That’s all you really need to know in order to get started and get paid so I hope that makes it clearer for you.
