Crochet Tutorial: Easy Crochet Slippers This is an easy project, fast and fun to make. The finished slipper is thick with lots of give, that is why I make them the exact length of the foot.

1. Crochet chain as long as the foot you are making the slipper for, leaving a long tail at the beginning. This will be used to sew part of the slipper together. 2. First row, single crochet in second chain and continue for the full length of the chain. 3. Second row, chain one, turn, and single crochet in back loop only. Continue to end of the row, chain one, turn, and continue pattern using back loop only until you have a square. Leave a second long tail at the opposite side of the square as seen below. This will also help sew the slipper together.

4. Using one of the tails fold square in half and sew heel straight up. I use a bodkin, a large needle with a dull end to sew projects together.

5. The tail should be long enough to go over this seam twice, reinforcing the top stitch, tying off and weaving end into the seam. When the slipper is turned right side out it should look like the photo below. When sewing slipper you are always working on the inside.

6. For toe end, weave the second tail in and out all along the outer edge and pull tight, should look like the photo's below.

7. Reinforce the gather by going over the last stitch a couple of times. Sew top closed about half way leaving enough room to insert foot into the slipper. Reinforce last stitch on top of slipper and weave end into seam.

8. When top of slipper is sewn and reinforced, turn slipper with the good side facing out. Crochet two rows of single crochet around the top to make a finished edge...or you can single crochet one row and crochet one chain one on second row for a lacy effect. For a sock look, single crochet several rows that can be folded over.

Little girls love pom pom's...so I have added them to this pair.
