C OMPUTATIONAL S KILLS • Extensive experience with Fortran and Linux • Extensive experience in using supercomputers to perform massively parallelized simulations • Experience in parallelizing codes using the Message Passing Interface (MPI) • High level of ability with the following programming and scripting languages: Fortran, C, C++, Perl, Python, Linux shell, Basic • Significant knowledge of computer hardware • Experience in managing small-scale networks and storage facilities

O UTREACH AND O THER A CTIVITIES • Developed a technique for stereoscopically visualizing the results of three-dimensional simulations. Stereoscopic animations and images are used by our group for both scientific presentations and outreach activies, greatly improving audience involvement. • Member of the MagIcS (Magnetic Investigation of various classes of Stars) international collaboration (http://www.ast.obs-mip.fr/users/donati/magics/v1/). • Co-organizer of the Plasma Astrophysics Seminars at at the Department of Astronomy, Cornell University. • Gave an informal talk on accretion to magnetized stars, for undergraduate students from Holyoke Community College, Massachusetts, who were visiting the Department of Astronomy at Cornell University in November 2007. • Member of the Cornell University “Ask an Astronomer” outreach team. 2
