Auditions for A Night at The Nutcracker are on a first-come, first-serve basis. Those wishing to audition must make BOTH the vocal and dance audition. Bring sheet music in your key; accompanist will be provided. 16 - 32 bars or 1-minute cutoff time, stylistically appropriate tune. A cappella or tape accompaniment is not acceptable. Cabrillo Stage concludes their 31st season with the hilarious holiday romp A Night At The Nutcracker. The Marx Brothers played havoc with the worlds of opera and horse racing. What if they’d had a crack at a ballet company? The hilarity ensues in this musical farce when the world’s greatest detective, Felix T. Filibuster teams up with Pinchie the silent butler and his Italian friend, Pepponi. Together they come to the rescue of Constance Stuffington, patron of the arts, whose fortune has been swindled away. Can opening night of the city’s Nutcracker Suite Ballet be saved in time? With slapstick comedy, one-liners, chases, beautiful girls, musical numbers and the craziest version of The Nutcracker you’ll ever see, A Night at the Nutcracker is a Christmas musical comedy that’s fun for the whole family!
