Article Databases The NHTI Library subscribes to comprehensive article databases: EBSCOHost, JSTOR and ProQuest. All are accessible via the library homepage. If you are looking for a particular title check the publications list in each database. All databases can be searched by topic keywords. EBSCOHost provides online access to articles, e-books, and reference books. Create your personal MyEBSCOhost account to save and organize your research with folders, save preferences, save and retrieve search history. JSTOR contains more than a thousand academic journals and over one million images, letters, and other primary sources. Its focus is on the arts and humanities. Register a MyJSTOR account in order to save, email, and export citations. PROQUEST gives access journal, magazine, and newspaper articles. It also contains e-books. Its primary subject focus is news, science, and business. The “My Research” feature lets you save documents you find useful and view details from your searches during your ProQuest session. You can then print a bibliography and email or export several documents at once.

Cochrane Collaboration provides access to independent, high quality evidence-based research for healthcare decision-making. Type your keyword into the search box to find research related to your evidence-based question. Dentistry & Oral Science Source covers all facets relating to the areas of dentistry including dental public health, endodontics, facial pain & surgery, odontology, oral & maxillofacial pathology/surgery/radiology, orthodontology, pediatric dentistry, periodontology, and prosthodontics. The database is updated weekly on EBSCOhost. Lexi-Comp Dentistry provides continually updated pharmacology information, interaction and allergy screening tools, patient medication management, lesion diagnosis, and a complete collection of dental reference databases. ProQuest Health and Medical Complete offers comprehensive journal coverage of clinical and biomedical topics, consumer health, and health administration. ProQuest Nursing & Allied Health Source offers reliable, comprehensive coverage of the fields of nursing and allied health including journals, video, dissertations, and reference books. It includes Evidence-based Resources from the Joanna Briggs Institute. Scientific & Medical ART Imagebase provides a comprehensive collection of downloadable medical illustrations and animations. Ideal for students and teachers of anatomy, physiology, biology and other life sciences, the collection contains medical illustrations, animations, and interactive multimedia for 26 body systems/regions and 19 medical specialties.

Online Career Resources Learning Express access is through the NHTI Library Databases page and offers online tutorials in all NHTI skill-areas. It includes assessment, skill-building, and test preparation. Learning Express provides professional hand scoring of writing and provides targeted direction for further study. It also has test preparation for GED, AP, SAT, ACT, GRE, GMAT, MCAT, TOEFL, ASVAB, civil service, and a full range of professional licensing exams. Free registration for access. Learning Express offers test preparation for dental assisting practice and exams and radiography practice.
