However, its relationship with earlier stages of chronic kidney disease (CKD) is less well known. In this study we examined the association between depressive symptoms and CKD. Methods: Cross-sectional analysis of the prevalence and correlates of depressive symptoms measured by the Patient Health Questionnaire (PHQ-9) among adult participants with CKD in the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey 2005-2006.
