District Kulgam. District Kulgam is a newly created district that came into existence after being carved out from district Anantnag and made functional administratively with effect from 2nd April, 2007. The Town Kulgam is situated at a distance of about 68 kms from Srinagar and about 17 kms from Anantnag. It has road connectivity with its neighboring districts like Shopian, Pulwama, Anantnag and Ramban etc.

Project: Electronic Voting Machine Tracking System (EVM Tracking) Department: Election

Description: EVM Tracking entry application is developed for creating a centralized database of all 35 states and UTs of India. It allows Tracking of Control Unit and Ballot Unit and their location. This application has the facility to create and enter the warehouse details in which the stock entry of CU and BU could be done by Warehouse In-charge. Transfer of CU and BU once entered will not require re-entry of data. It also keeps the check of duplicate entry of CU and BU in all the ware houses across the country. This Application has to be used at CEO/DEO/Warehouse In-charge / ECI Admin levels.

Project: Treasury/Fund Office Computerization Department: Treasury

Description: The treasury computerization project is expected to make budgeting processes more efficient, improve cash flow management, promote real-time reconciliation of accounts, strengthen Management Information Systems (MIS), improve accuracy and timeliness in accounts preparation, bring about transparency and efficiency in public delivery systems, better financial management along with improved quality of governance in States and Union Territories.

Description: Computerization of day to day activities at ARTO Office Kulgam. 1.

VAHAN : An application developed by NIC for registration of vehicles and road tax clearance . It helps the department to Register Vehicle, Collect tax, Issue various certificates and permits and Record the fitness of vehicles.

SARATHI : An application developed by NIC used by the department for Learner Licence, Permanent Driving Licence, Conductor's License and Driving School License.

The main purpose of the website is to help in bringing transparency in public administration and a right step towards e-governance. The website also provides an interface between public and district administration. The site will also serve as a reference guide and bring the administration closer to people.

Project: E-Court Department: District Court Kulgam

Description: The e-Courts project aims ICT enablement of the lower courts across the country. The project envisages deployment of hardware, software and networking to assist district and taluka courts in streamlining their day to day functioning such as case filing, allocation, registration, case workflow, orders and judgments will be IT-enabled. Causelists, Case status, orders, judgments will be available on the web and made accessible to litigants, advocates, and general public. The project aims to build a national grid of key judicial information available 24 X 7 in a reliable and secure manner.

Project: Centralized Personnel information System (CPIS) Department: Deputy Commissioner Office Kulgam.

Description: The scope of the project is to capture employee profiles as well as office profiles in the CPIS database of all the departments, spread over in the entire state of Jammu & Kashmir. It also envisages to keep up-to-date information of employees, when they are promoted, transferred or retired etc. It also aims to assign a unique Employee Identification Number to all the employees for future references. Project: Mother and Child Tracking System(MCTS) Department: NRHM ( Chief Medical Office)

Description: Tracking of Pregnant mothers and children has been recognized as a priority area for providing effective healthcare services to this group. As a major initiative in this regard, the Mother and Child Tracking system (MCH) is name based pregnant mother and child tracking system. It is a management tool to reduce MMR/IMR/TFR and track the health service delivery at the individual level.

Description: Housing is one of the basic requirements for human survival. For a shelterless person, possession of a house brings about a profound change in his existence, endowing him with an identity, thus integrating him with his immediate social milieu. With a view to meeting the housing needs of the rural poor, Indira Awaas Yojana (IAY) was launched in May 1985 as a sub-scheme of Jawahar Rozgar Yojana. AWAASSoft- An e-Governance Solution for Indira Awaas Yojana is a local language enabled workflow based transactional level management information system to facilitate e-governance in the system. The system has been prepared and deployed at http://iay.nic.in by NIC in collaboration with the Ministry of Rural Development
