elcome to our latest Catalogue of Cross Stitch designs by Michael Powell. Mike has been designing now for 9 years and his portfolio and range continues to grow. His designs are based on his love of Buildings and Architecture, Gardens and the Countryside and his many trips abroad.

His original paintings, normally created in pen and ink and watercolour are then translated into various needlework designs, whether it be cross stitch or tapestry.

Our designs cater for everyone, from the beginner to the most experienced of stitchers. The materials are of the best quality, and each kit includes either Aida or Even weave fabric, pre-sorted thread cards, needle and instructions. The charts and instructions are clear and very easy to understand and all kits come with a separate backstitch chart.

Mike has introduced, for the first time, a range of quirky Button-kits. These allow the stitcher to become the artist and once the design is complete, they have the option of where to place their buttons to finish off their scene. These innovative new designs can be found on page 3 and sit well alongside his full range of Mini kits, Bookmarks, Little Gems and of course his many other designs.

This new catalogue will take you on a journey, covering all corners of the United Kingdom and some favourite holiday destinations in Europe. Why not travel through some quaint Cottage Gardens, stop off in an English Village before heading into a Spanish Hilltown, Greek Village or the hustle and bustle of Venice. New designs include River Cottage, Railway Cottages and Myrtle Cottage and are on page 8 Mike’s range of Samplers is now growing. New designs of a Garden Sampler and a Home Sampler sit well on page 23 with our ever popular Wedding Sampler and still to come Anniversary Sampler.
