By John Stovall If you have a strong back and don't mind the bulk, this combination version is far cheaper than buying both individually. As with any textbook, there are a few errors in the text and problems, but they're usually apparent. The fundamental problems are worked step by step in the back of the book so you can always reference similar problems when doing homework. The author should have explained several topics better, the a lot of the diagrams are too small, the equations and writing all run together making everything hard to read. I've compared my book to two others and there are no

It's a textbook By Jon Textbooks are all pretty much the same, written a little above the level of the layman or novice to the subject. Paired with a good instructor the book is informative and the exercises productive. Fundamental problems come with partial solution walkthroughs and all final answers are in the back.
