NEW HERE?
Here at Whitewater we are all about relationships, and not religion. Relationships with God and people. Welcome to relationship.
A Message From Our Pastor Hi Friends. Steve was almost 5 when his father, missionary pilot Nate Saint, was killed in 1956, along with four other men, by the Waodani tribe in Ecuador. But instead of judgment, the families of the martyred men showed love and forgiveness to that tribe, and now there is a growing community of believers among the Waodani. As an adult, Steve moved back to Ecuador and became friends with Mincaye, one of the men who killed his father. I found out that Steve’s motto is: “Let God Write Your Story.” He says, “You have a lot of people who want to write their own story and have God be their editor when it goes wrong. I decided long ago to let God write my story.” That is what we learned this past year at Whitewater - Let God write the story because it’s always better. Now it’s time to let God write the next chapter in the story as we turn the page of 2014. The strategic opportunities outlined in this viewbook, will assist you in this effort. Look it over and make plans now to have this be your most exciting chapter yet! -David

NEW HERE? Frequently Asked Questions Is there a dress code? At Whitewater, you’ll see as much variety in dress as you see in people. Some wear T-shirts and jeans. Others wear the more traditional Sunday attire. We don’t judge by appearances because we know that God is interested in what’s on the inside. Once I arrive, where should I go first or when I have questions? Guest Service Team members are located just inside both the Main Entrance and the Cafe Entrance. Members serving in these areas, as well as at the Info Desk, will answer your questions and help you and your kids know where to go. Is kids’ programming provided? Yes, loving and safe kids programming is provided at Whitewater. Our kids’ ministry is the ideal spot for infants through 6th graders. Kids’ classes are high energy, interactive, and age-appropriate. What about my student? 7th through 12th grade students enjoy classes, activities and special events that are high energy and interactive. The discussions and teaching – led by caring and positive adult role models – help students deal with the many pressures they face and guide them toward healthy choices. What kind of church is this? Whitewater Crossing Christian Church is a non-denominational church in the historical tradition of the Restoration Movement. We have a local group of elders who provide direction and oversight for the church. We have no hierarchy or any other religious body that influences what happens at Whitewater. How do I become a member? The Starting Point class is the next logical step for you to take to learn more about membership and your path at Whitewater. What is Communion and how is it viewed at Whitewater? Communion is the memorial Jesus gave to remind us of the price He paid – He gave His life – for our sins. Anyone who is a follower of Christ is invited to participate.
