Town Engineer

The Town engineer is fully responsible for the execution and safety of all works in his charge for accuracy, quality and progress of new works, maintenance of works and control overall expenditure in relation to budget allotment. Town engineer shall ensure welfare of all staff working under him and to ensure that all staff under him are performing their allotted duties in efficient manner. 3.

AEN-I

General: The Assistant Engineer is responsible for the maintenance, execution and safety of all works in his charge, for the accuracy, quality and progress of new works and control over all expenditure in relation to budget allotment. Essential Duties of Assistant Engineer: i) ii) iii) iv) v)

Inspection of all quarters, roads, water supply, rest house and their maintenance in a satisfactory and safe condition. Preparation of plans and estimate Verification of stores held by stock-holders. Submission of proposals for inclusion in the works programme and revenue budget. Any other work assigned by higher controlling officers of directorate

Knowledge of rules and regulations: The Assistant Engineer shall observe the rules and procedures relating to his duties, as laid down in the general and subsidiary rules, various manuals such as the Indian railway works manual. He shall ensure that all staff under him is acquainted with the relevant rules working methods concerning their duties that they perform their allotted duties efficiently. 4.

AEN-II

General: The Assistant Engineer is responsible for the maintenance, execution and safety of all works in his charge, for the accuracy, quality and progress of new works and control over all expenditure in relation to budget allotment.

Essential Duties of Assistant Engineer: 1.

Inspection of all structures, Service building and their maintenance in a satisfactory and safe condition.

Preparation of plans and estimate in service building

Verification of stores held by stock-holders.

4.

Submission of proposals for inclusion in the works programme and revenue budget.

5.

All type Stock item indent and Establishment matter in TEN Office.

6.

Any other work assigned by higher controlling officers of directorate

SSE/(Works) – Service Building

Duties:

Inspection and Maintenance of -Service building, Old/ New Rajdhani Hall and other structures in his jurisdiction.

He shall ensure proper training of the staff under him as prescribed in the training modules of the Civil Engineering Department.

Any other work assigned by higher controlling officers of directorate

Accountal and periodical verification of stores and tools in his charge. Maintenance of land boundaries as specified. Removal of encroachments at his headquarters and at other places in his jurisdiction as specified.

Knowledge of Rules and Regulation i) ii)

Execution of Works The Section Engineer (Works) shall be personally responsible for the accurate setting out and execution of all works under his charge according to approved drawing and specifications. i) He should plan every work, organization labour in an efficient manner and maintenance detailed accounts of materials and too received and issued. He should exercise frequent checks on the quality and quantum of work being done in his charge and submit progress report periodically as prescribed. ii) Addition and alterations to buildings and structures carried out should be carefully noted and quantities shown in the standard Measurement Register amended as necessary with, the approval of the Assistant Engineer. Measurement of Works SSE/Service Building shall be responsible for proper measurement of contractual works. He shall maintain movement register of Measurement books and Standard Measurement Registers of works.

Imprest of Tools and Materials The Section Engineer (Works) shall examine all tools and plant with the artisans once a month and replace the unserviceable or defective ones or arrange repairs. Correspondence and Records The SSE/Service Building shall keep his correspondence upto date and see that all office records, registers and stores ledgers are maintained properly and posted regularly. 7.

SSE/SE (Works) Sector A

Duties: I) Inspection and Maintenance of a. -Sanitation work all colony i. Horticulture II) Cleaning to all open & covered drain cleaning of all records of colony, back lane of qtrs. etc. III) He shall ensure proper training of the staff under him as prescribed in the training modules of the Civil Engineering Department. IV) Any other work assigned by higher controlling officers of directorate

The attendance of artisans, helper and other staff under him should be checked by the Section Engineer (Works) regularly. The leave availed by staff should be recorded in the leave register in the leave account before the musters are dispatched to the Head Quarter.

Execution of Works He should plan every work, organization of labour in an efficient manner and to keep detailed accounts of materials. He should exercise frequent checks on the quality and quantum of work being done in his charge and submit progress report periodically as prescribed. Measurement of Works SSE/Health shall be responsible for proper measurement of contractual works. He shall maintain movement register of Measurement books and Standard Measurement Registers of works. Imprest of Tools and Materials SSE/Horticulture shall examine all tools and plant with the artisans once a month and replace the unserviceable or defective ones or arrange repairs.

Establishment Medical Examination –SSE/Horticulture shall ensure that all Group ‘D’ staff working under him are sent for medical examination for fitness for service. Correspondence and Records The SSE/Health shall keep his correspondence upto date and see that all office records, registers and stores ledgers are maintained properly and posted regularly. 11.

SSE/ Estate

General: He is responsible for maintenance, cleanliness & general maintenance of all Admn. Building, Annexe-I&II, Rajdhani Hall & Auditorium. Essential Duties of JE/Estate i) ii) iii) iv) v)

General cleanliness, sweeping, cleaning of glass panes of doors & windows, upkeep of toilets & their maintenance in a satisfactory and safe condition. Preparation of indents of sanitary items and to submit it to store department in time. Verification of stores and held by stock holders. Opening & closing of offices, dusting of furniture of service building. Any other work assigned by higher controlling officers.

SSE/JE Special Work i) For execution/creation of new civil engineering assets as per drawing etc. iii)

Any other work assigned by higher controlling officers.

OS-I:- He will deal correspondence regarding Railway Board reference, monitoring of expenditure, LEO inspection,RTI cases, Parliament Question, and preparation of Budget with the help of SSO/W.Up keep of all case file available in the office policy

In addition to above he will also look after the work of SDB/Estate in half working day (F/N) from Monday to Friday. Any other work assigned by higher controlling officers of Directorate. OS-III:- He will deal all correspondence regarding PPE cases, Audit, indent of stock items, Account inspection, preparation of tender documents and bills ofZones (SectorA, B, & C) & special works related to Colony area as well as works under the charge of TEN/AEN-I and Quotation cases, Completion reports& any other duties assigned from time to time by TEN. Any other work assigned by higher controlling officers of Directorate. Sr.Clerk- He will deal regarding all establishment matter, BOS, D&AR cases, Hindi report, Leave record, receipt/dispatches and preparation of passes ISO Inspection, Maintaining the movement register,Telephone cases, inspection note, Town area committee.He will also deal with preparation of tender documents, bills of Sanitation and horticulture works under the charge of TEN/AEN-III& any other duties assigned from time to time by TEN. Any other work assigned by higher controlling officers of Directorate.
