Many believe that it was invented in China. • It takes approximately 50 licks to finish off a scoop of ice cream. • Vanilla is the #1 selling flavor. • Approximately 9% of milk produced by US dairy farmers is used to make ice cream. • The US ice cream industry generates more than $21 billion in annual sales. What to look for? The three most important things to look for when choosing a healthy dessert is calories, saturated fat, and added sugar.
