PAST ADMINISTRATIVE EXPERIENCES & SERVICE ACTIVITIES
Convenor for “EENADU SUKHIBHAVA” Health Camps. Conducted more than 60 major health camps in which all the specialists and super specialist doctors participated. Instrumental for doing Heart surgeries, Brain surgeries, Cleft Lip surgeries, Knee replacement surgeries and other major surgeries free of cost to the needy patients. This was a Unique Health Program in Andhra Pradesh.
Conducted hundreds of eye camps, blood donation camps, family planning camps, school medical check-ups, immunization, health and family welfare programs in rural as well as urban areas
Conducted hundreds of free polio corrective surgeries in his hospital and had given new life to the physically challenged children
Organized various programs for street children welfare, promotion of inter-caste and inter-religious marriages, poverty alleviation and child welfare and was instrumental in promoting National Integration Camps
Motivated nearly 85,000 voluntary blood donors so far to donate blood and saved many lives
Conducted “Mega Blood Donation Camps” consecutively three years in Nagarjuna University Campus and motivated 2000, 4000 and 6000 voluntary blood donors each year to donate blood voluntarily. This has been a NATIONAL RECORD in India.
Main person for conducting successfully the Thiranga Mega Blood Donation Camp in Vijayawada with the help of Sri Lagadapati Rajagopal, Member of Parliament and Krishna District Red Cross Society and District Authorities in the year 2009. In this camp, 35,000 persons attended to the Blood Donation Camp and within six hours 8,500 blood donors donated blood voluntarily. This has been a WORLD RECORD.
Arranged for free blood transfusion to patients suffering from thalassemia, haemophilia and pregnant women who are anaemic, along with the co-operation of Rotary Red Cross Blood Bank, Vijayawada.
