Tuesday, 9 September 6.30 p.m. - 8.30 p.m. Guglielmo Marconi the Wireless Pioneer Parliament House, Macquarie Street, Sydney An exhibition dedicated to Guglielmo Marconi on the occasion of the one hundredth anniversary of his Nobel Prize in physics (1909). Greetings by Silvia Bartolini, President of the Consulta Emiliano-Romagnoli nel Mondo;

Prof. Gabriele Falciasecca, President of the Fondazione Marconi

and Princess Elettra Marconi. A reception will follow. Special thanks to the Hon. Angela D’Amore MP, State Member for Drummoyne.

Thursday, 11 September at 7.30 p.m. Il segreto di Marconi (Marconi’s Secret) by Giorgio Comaschi Parade Studio, Nida, 215 Anzac Parade, Kensington A theatre performance dedicated to Guglielmo Marconi, on the occasion of the one hundredth anniversary of his Nobel Prize in physics (1909). With Giorgio Comaschi, director and narrator, and Alessandro Pilloni, actor. Greetings by Silvia Bartolini, President of the Consulta Emiliano-Romagnoli nel Mondo and Princess Elettra Marconi, followed by an introduction by Prof. Gabriele Falciasecca, President of Fondazione Marconi.

The program will be in Italian.

Writer and journalist Giovannino Guareschi (1908-1968)became famous as an author of novels and humorous stories and above all with the series of the popular character of Don Camillo, a fighting , unbiased, anti-communist priest of the Po Valley, who has as an adversary and friend (so-to-speak) ‘Peppone’ - the communist mayor of the town.
