• Students write the opposites of the adjectives from exercise 1. • Play the CD to check answers. Point out that we can make the opposite of some adjectives with the prefix un–, for example, unkind and unselfish. • Play the CD again. Students listen and repeat the adjectives. Pause the CD after each adjective for students to repeat.

Consolidation In pairs or small groups, students take it in turns to describe other people in the class using personality adjectives, physical descriptions and any other information they know about the person. The others guess who it is.
