The University of Deusto in Bilbao, Spain, has announced an exciting opportunity for young scholars who are interested in researching historical memory, history education and peace education, and pursuing a doctoral degree in these topics. It o譣�ers eight research positions for students who would like to write their doctoral dissertations within larger research projects at the University. There are twenty-one topics for recruitment, which are categorized under four focus areas. The research topics range from “History Education and its contribution to peace building: The role of museums, literature and film as sites for a critical understanding of the violent past,” and “Participation of students in real environment problems for sustainable development”, to “Changing values and identities in Europe” and “Smart Water Systems – Tools to build more resilient water infrastructures”. The four focus areas in which the research topics are included, are “Health and Wellbeing”, “Human Rights, Peace and Conflict Resolution”, “Sustainable Development and Innovation”, and “Education and Lifelong Learning”.
