1. Make sure your fretting finger is touching the guitar strings on the fret 2. Use your thumb (or other fingers if you’d like) to play the note 3. Lift up your fretting hand fingers to let the note sustain The most popular natural harmonics are on the 12th, 7th and 5th fret. For each of the frets you get different pitches. Here’s a table for your reference: 12 fret 7th fret 5th fret
1 octave higher than the open string 1 octave and a perfect 5th higher than the open string 2 octaves higher than the open string
