L'agence de l'eau Rhône Méditerranée Corse lance un nouveau label « Rivière en bon état »
L’agence de l’eau Rhône Méditerranée Corse lance ce jour un nouveau label « Rivière en bon état » pour permettre au plus grand nombre de reconnaître les rivières qui ont toutes les qualités écologiques et de pureté qu’on attend d’elles.
Ce label s’appuie sur un travail rigoureux de catégorisation des rivières introduit par la directive cadre sur l’eau de 2000 et dont l’agence de l’eau a la responsabilité. Aujourd’hui elle collecte 3 millions de données individuelles sur l’état des cours d’eau des bassins Rhône-Méditerranée et Corse (quart sud-est de la France) et établit une catégorisation des cours d’eau selon 5 classes de qualité. Elle prend en compte 20 paramètres sur la pureté de l’eau (absence d’effet des pollutions organiques ou chimiques), le nombre de poissons et le bilan de santé de la faune et la flore naturelle des cours d’eau. Pour être labellisée, une rivière devra être en bon état écologique[1] stable, c’est-à-dire depuis au moins 3 ans.
Ce label pourra être sollicité par les responsables de la gestion des rivières, en général organisés en syndicats de rivières créés par les collectivités locales. L’agence de l’eau ouvrira un appel à candidature en septembre prochain et les premiers panneaux affichant ce label pourront être posés en avril 2015, après avoir passé le comité de sélection.
