Clients continue to have solid reasons for confiding in us and in our way of doing things. Our innovation is successful. Several of our technological proposals have been adopted by manufacturers this year, which we will see installed in the near future in upcoming launches. Innovations particularly focused on reducing weight, the leading concern in our industry, and which will contribute toward a more sustainable and responsible world. Over recent months, we have participated in two technological fairs at the request of our clients. This possibility allowed us to demonstrate, first-hand, the newest technical solutions in response to new automotive trends: industrial flexibility, sustainability and smart interiors. Practical proposals that resolve great challenges faced by the industry and which anticipate the evolution of automobile interiors. A more natural interior of higher comfort and greater perceived quality. At the end of the year, Grupo Antolin again has single shareholder, our family. A family-owned company is a value the moves upward. We are more Antolin than ever so that we may become more: more competitive, more profitable, more efficient. We accelerate toward and face the future with even greater energy, and all thanks to the shared effort of people like you. This is the reason why I wish to express my gratitude to all of you, without your help it would not be possible. It is indispensable to count with strong and cohesive teams, guided by good leaders who believe that they can win, and who visualize success together and end up being successful. All of this opens before us a future full of possibilities which we must not miss out on. We are more than well prepared to face the challenges the future has in store for us. We must properly invest our resources, develop the best strategies and measure the impact of our actions. I want to ask you one question: Can I count on you? I would like for the response to be unanimous: Yes, today more than ever. Happy and prosperous 2014. ▪

A telegram was the icing on the cake during the award ceremony

José Antolín confirmed his future collaboration with the University of Burgos

The day was packed with emotion. Murillo referred to him as one of the most “respected and admired” business persons in Burgos. He likewise spoke of his values, choosing those beginning with the letter “h”: humble, honorable, honest, human and important sense of humor. The Rector stepped in to play on words and allude to that “h” - silent when spoken in Spanish - to the discretion that has always characterized José Antolín. Mention was also made of the cooperation that Grupo Antolin has mantained with the University since the 80s, a “real collaboration”, as highlighted by Alfonso Murillo.

José Antolin was touched, and wished to share the recognition with all of the company employees and with his family, that accompanied him during the entire evening. His audacity, determination and vision of the future have propelled him up to the highest level of our company. ▪

OUR PEOPLE AROUND THE WORLD

Andrés Arribas in CHINA Over a decade ago, Grupo Antolin launched its expansion through the Asian giant. Today it counts with 16 strategically located centers and production plants in a global power, where over 20 million vehicles are sold each year; an emerging market with a progressively open policy that has provided the opportunity for being, once again, close to the customer, together with the leading automobile manufacturers.

www.flickr.com/photos/shanghaisound

China is the country with the highest concentration of large cities on the planet. We travel to Shanghai, one of the 6 Chinese cities with over 15 million habitants, where we find Andrés Arribas.

What led you to make the decision to move to China? Ever since I was studying at the university, I had a tremendous curiosity about everything related with the Orient, and in realizing that the centers of influence, development and innovation were looking toward this region of the planet, when I was presented with the possibility, I did not hesitate at all. What has your new position and country of residence given you in return?

Andrés Arribas has been residing in China for almost ten years.

Many of my colleagues say the same thing, but repeating it does not make it any less true; it is enriching in both personal and professional terms and for the sense of adaptation, an experience which

After verifying, first-hand, the level and size of the companies in Shanghai, one appreciates that this is a city in which the most competitive companies in the world are found for every sector of activity.

would have been difficult to acquire if not for my living these 9 years in China. What surprised you the most when you came into contact with Chinese society? The erroneous conception we have in the western world of China’s tremendous potential for influencing abroad both in the past and in the present, especially, the Chinese population’s enormous capacity for adaptation, competitiveness and desire for improvement. What about the human resources of Grupo Antolin in this country? The difference is in the variety and diversity; but, in general, and with regards to the colleagues I am in contact with, it is a pleasant surprise and makes me proud to know that I am surrounded by persons that are truly responsible, within a great work environment, based upon support and coordination. How long have you been in the city? Why did you move? As I have already mentioned, the nine years I have been in China have been in the fascinating and somewhat startling city of Shanghai. I landed at the first site of Grupo Antolin in this country, in one of the industrial parks of Shanghai, the evolution of which in recent years has been spectacular. The major reason that motivated me to take this step was the opportunity to grow together with the company we represent; observing the tremendous potential that Grupo Antolin has in this part of the world. What does the city offer you? The city of Shanghai offers a wide diversity of opportunities for developing certain professional and personal skills, plus a great variety with regards to leisure for the family, of course with certain differences and inconveniences that are difficult to understand until one is adapted “in situ”.

SHANGHAI “Despite being one of the most modern and multicultural cities of China, the city is very different from any European one, for its size, population and contrasts, which gives one the sensation of living in a world where the capitalist system has reached the highest peaks in the socialist world of the market; in other words, communism Chinesestyle”

What is the impression of Spanish workers abroad? To be honest, for different reasons: crisis, political standpoints, current events in our country, contribute toward a negative opinion of our professional abilities, reason for which we must strive to give an example abroad that destroys the myths underlying certain labels. It is also convenient to remember that the impression about a country cannot be founded upon just a few years. The flows of tourism, expatriates, cultural and political-commercial activities and the role of Spanish companies in China will end up being the creators of the image which we all wish to have in this huge country. Being so far away, what do you miss the most? Without a doubt, my loved ones, family and friends. Everything is adaptable but it is impossible for everything to have a substitute. And something which may seem curious, the blue sky of most Spanish places, especially the intensity and sensation of infinity of the sky of Burgos. grupoantolin

Shanghai will become a better destination for foreign investment thanks to its new program for a Free Trade Zone (FTZ). This project will expand the liberalization of business in China and will promote an open, fair and competitive environment, which will entail major support provided by Shanghai for being one of the centers at which the largest companies will opt for locating their regional headquarters. No doubt, this free trade zone is destined to revolutionize the influence of this Chinese city on the world’s economy.

Have you ever regretted making this decision? During such a long period away from home, there is always time for reflection; I would not say regret, but a certain sense of contradiction, especially in situations that are personally complicated and that are not within one’s power to change, such as not being able to be near a loved one or not being able to spend the time one would have liked to with those who are no longer with us. But, on another hand, this makes us appreciate even more the small details which were previously overlooked. What can a Chinese person contribute to a Spaniard and vice versa? In such a globalized world and in such a cosmopolitan city, I am unable to pinpoint national contributions, rather personal ones, definitively the persons that surround us are those who impact on our personal development, but if I must highlight something, it would be the incredible sense of survival of the Chinese population, which to a certain degree,

obviously, is out of necessity. Nothing is free and if one wants to prosper, one must have an own system of income. This actually makes a Spanish person realize how fortunate we are and that we should optimize the few existing resources. On another hand, we offer them the spontaneity, some creativity and a more positive perspective when facing life. What does this city have that is special for business purposes? After verifying, first-hand, the level and size of the companies in Shanghai, one appreciates that this is a city in which the most competitive companies in the world are found for every sector of activity. To refer to Shanghai entails speaking of innovation, development and progress. Its infrastructures, both in financial and logistical terms, are the most important in the world. Its human resources have nothing to envy compared with many of the planet’s large cities which, together with its major business activity, represents both an opportunity as well as a challenge in terms of stability and increase of costs.

The force that integrates the members of the group and endows it with cohesion is expressed trough the solidarity and sense of belonging to the group expressed by its components. These results in our sharing values, attitudes and rules of conduct focused on the final goal, to obtain the greatest benefit for the company to which we belong.

What type of business transactions takes place? How are the relationships like? The sustained economic growth above 10% in recent years has given place to first-tier consumers of foreign products, from automobiles to cosmetics or financial services. With regards to “doing business in China” this issue allows for writing an entire book and from different perspectives, as we’re dealing with a chameleonic world, but in a certain way business in China continues to take place amongst “friends”, though with the passing of time and the internalization of the market, the trend is for business to take place between companies or corporations. In the initial contact with Chinese counterparts, it is essential to not appear overzealous and to understand the proper forms of greeting, a trembling of the hands and slight inclination of the head; they are very attentive to body language and movements, so one must remain calm at all times and maintain a formal posture, always having business cards available.

In business culture in Chine, punctuality at meetings plays a very important role; during an initial meeting, one must show a positive attitude; before the meeting starts, it is necessary to send a meeting agenda with the items to be addressed to the participants in order to monitor their progress, always displaying a commitment to the business and having large doses of patience.

For the Chinese, Confucianism has had a major impact on both business and one’s personal life, as everything is based upon harmonious relationships. Therefore, it is vital during negotiations to avoid disagreements, behave properly and project a positive image, as this is highly valued by them. Furthermore, one must always be attentive to any eventuality that may affect our corporate image and face the consequences at all times. What were the main problems, both personal and professional, that you encountered upon your arrival? How did you adapt? With regards to living in China and balancing family and career in a city as immense as Shanghai, in which travel, gastronomy and social interaction are so different, adaptation is not simple. The greatest difficulty I faced and continue to face is the Chinese language, the more one learns it the more you realize the little you know, especially as to writing it. In the Mandarin language double meanings and contradictions abound, a trait very similar to Spanish, which makes understanding it difficult and even further complicates one’s grupoantolin

personal adaptation and one’s professional adaptation, in particular. Another aspect to bear in mind is the distances. In a city of colossal size, it is normal for it to take two to three hours to get to work each day, something which one becomes accustomed to over time, though when coming from a city like Burgos, is not easy to get over. Adaptation was not easy, sometimes one has a feeling of impotence when being unable to understand certain situations, but with the help of those surrounding you, everything is overcome What other practical aspects should be taken into account? Never give up on hard work, sacrifice and commitment, as sooner or later it will produce the expected results. The desire to succeed, the aspiration of personal growth, the respect for the different and the empathy that every human being should have toward others will prevent misunderstandings from becoming unpleasant discrepancies, pushing the limits, as there are already enough problems in the world for us to further complicate our existence. Finally, do you have any advice for people who are considering pursuing part of their professional careers abroad? Consider that no one is better than or worse than another due to racial differences; to hold a positive attitude toward

One must bear in mind that relationships in China are very formal, and one must avoid making informal or humorous comments which may be misinterpreted, always remember that one represents a company and, therefore, behave in a very professional manner, while at the same time creating a climate of trust and gaining sufficient familiarity with the counterpart.

some misunderstandings and always see the positive side of things, otherwise the stay in another place of the world will likely be short and unstable. In the mid- and long-term, the experience lived is something that compensates the major sacrifices entailed by the farness from what is one’s own. To transform oneself into a product of globalization, with its positive and less positive aspects, opens for you infinite possibilities, both personally and professionally, for the present and for the uncertain, yet hopeful, future, in an increasingly global economy in which, despite the efforts to shut doors on reality, the economy will be more plural, open and competitive, and our differentiation is what will be our advantage to achieve greater development. ▪

Only at the end of the assembly line will these be object of a special treatment in order to verify the maximum quality of the adjustments.

Both Stephen Odell, President of Ford Europa, as well as Martin Smith, Vice President of Design, justified the use of the Vignale brand given that Ghia had been discredited. «People started to relate Ghia with plastic parts that imitated wood and things like that, so we decided to relaunch Vignale». We are on the right track if we imagine that Vignale will take care of a good part of the maintenance tasks we usually must subject our vehicles to, from inspections (and taking the vehicle to the mechanic) through to its cleaning. Grupo Antolin-Italia is located in Pinerolo 20 km southwest of Turin, at facilities measuring 7,000 m2 where 60 employees work. The plant has 5 production lines for manufacturing the lined dashboard inserts for the Fiat Punto Evo, Lancia Y and new Fiat 500 L, amongst others. The destination plants at which we will deliver our products are mainly located in southern Italy, Poland and Serbia. Our presence in Italy has been decisive so that Grupo Antolin could reach its growth-related objective with the client Fiat-Chrysler. Grupo Antolin has been selected as Tier1 door panel supplier for the new Fiat 500X, an urban all-wheel drive vehicle that will launch its production at the end of 2014 in southern Italy (Melfi). This way, they have guaranteed their presence in Pinerolo and the growth of this new territory, planning to locate the installation of an assembly line near Melfi.

The acquisition of CRS also entailed the incorporation of INCOTECH TECHNOLOGY by which the THERMOFORMING and PLASTIC INJECTION coincide in the same production cycle.

Since 2012, warehouses have been redesigned and in-line productive layouts have been optimized, based on Lean Manufacturing experiences. 2014 will be a year of transformation, preparing ourselves to receive the new Fiat 500X project and SAP implementation. ▪ grupoantolin

JIT CENTERS

In 7 so-called JIT (Just-InTime) centers we combine the customer’s planning data with placing orders for components. Modern first-in-first-out (FIFO) oriented warehouse systems and transportation flows guarantee that the needed part is always available. Great pre-logistics distances and possible individual customer requests are balanced by a backup stock of components in each JIT-center. On average, we always have an availability to cover 3 – 4 days of production.

Our assembly starts upon the receipt of the customer order

All components are cross-checked with the order by barcode or optical identification system in case of colors.

Whatever happens in our customer’s lines, the next car coming out of the paint shop into their assembly lines is our next order for dispatching our module.

Taking into account that we have between 32 seconds and 2 minutes to assemble one module, the design of our production lines is based on maximum quality with adequate speed.

Our work starts with organizing the transportation chains from worldwide suppliers. Either we count with more or fewer local suppliers or we must import parts from other continents, e.g. India, China, Mexico and Africa.

Wherever possible, we use technical supports to reach this target. Modern assembly lines with automatic data collection allow us to analyze what we have done and to learn how to improve with every production cycle. grupoantolin

of the automotive market demanding extremely reduced “time-to-market” has impacted our customer delivery processes. From the very beginning of our modular activities in 1998, we have a time limit of 90 minutes for reaching the OEM lines. Today, we have a wide range of possible systems for directly moving the finished vehicle, by truck or conveyor, to the assembly stations.

Grupo Antolin Logistic-Deutschland, 15 years of logistics and assembly

Assembly-point/point of fit Benchmarking other industrial logistics areas, like airport management (for luggage containers), has left its footprint in modern automotive logistics. We use special containers with special equipment for their handling at the OEM manufacturing sites. Our responsibility does not conclude upon delivery. Our JIT plants are mostly defined as TIER-1-suppliers for the Big 6. That entails that a whole range of quality-related obligations must be met by our modules in the supply chain, both to the wholesaler and during after-sales. Our specialists, located in every center, solve any problems and respond to requests for improvement in workshops and customer programs.

Electronic systems are used to track each delivery. Furthermore, we are able to trace every part we deliver in every station of the supply chain

We organize transportation to foreign markets in India and Malaysia, Argentina and Russia, and deliver spare parts for over 15 years after termination of the serial production. Looking back at 15 years of Integrated Logistics Services within Grupo Antolin, we foresee a challenging future with numerous possibilities to help our customers and our GA-production sites to position themselves in future markets. ▪

These facilitate a continuous learning process, as well as personal and professional development of the teams within a common company project, regardless of their origin, nationality, age or gender. For the company, diversity is a source of development. This applies not only in economic terms, but also as a means of access to an intellectual, affective and morally satisfactory existence that expands the choices that may be placed before us. New FOAM area at Grupo Antolin-Eurotrim In October 2013, the new warehouse area for PU blocks was inaugurated at GA-Eurotrim, Burgos. Two warehouse buildings comprise this new area, one for cooling and another for curing processes. Its spacious 1,100 square meters has been designed to minimize risks derived of handling foam blocks.

PU foam is a basic element in our headliner-manufacturing, resulting of the chemical reaction between an isocyanate and a polyol. The chemical reaction of these products is exothermic and very fast. In just two minutes, about 100 liters of product transforms into a foam block occupying a volume of 2,000 liters. During this process, the temperatures inside the block may reach high temperatures. The first 8 hours are a critical period during handling and storage. To minimize risks during this timeframe, we have constructed a cooling area where these blocks remain for at least those 8 hours, until their internal temperature drops. This cooling area, with a storage capacity of 50 blocks, is built of 30 cm thick concrete walls and is isolated so that in the event of fire it will not extend to other areas of the factory. When cooling is complete, the blocks may be transferred to the final storage site, where they will remain for 48 hours

GA-Eurotrim has made major investments in our continuous search for technical solutions that allow us to carry out our activity as safely as possible.

to finish off the curing period. Afterwards, they are ready for processing. This space has a capacity for housing 300 blocks. The new Warehouse Management Systems allow us to guarantee correct stock turnover of the blocks and strict compliance with processing times. Fulfillment of the established rules is vital. To assure that these are followed, the blocks are individually labeled with barcodes, identifying their exact time of manufacture. Based on this identification, both warehouses are equipped with the necessary control devices to guarantee adherence with the required time periods. If we wish to handle a block before the required time has elapsed, an automated barrier system would impede its transfer between warehouses, or its removal from the final warehouse for use. ▪ grupoantolin

Leaders, are they born or made? This is a common debate. Both perspectives can be partly logical from the viewpoint of Human Resources Development, given that individuals certainly have an inherent potential, but there is also another factor, in many cases a determining one: the whole of external influences acquired through learning, experience, interactions and situations which each person lives. Therefore, under the assumption that leaders are both born and made, through Human Resources Management we strive to offer training and practice to lead our professionals along a path to becoming the ideal candidate for resolving specific organizational circumstances at any given time. This year, within the framework of the “Talent Management Program”, new editions of the different skills training schools have been held, and some of them, like the “United States Leadership School”, have specifically reinforced management, leadership and influence-related competencies of an initial group of professionals from the NAFTA region. This, in addition, is an example of how a project designed from its beginnings from a global perspective, which allows us to transfer corporate culture across different regions, is adapted to the particular reality of a new setting and is object of an exceptional reception.

Talent Management Program

Highlight the importance of the involvement of professionals from North America, as they have been the protagonists of the school by learning and contributing to each session their experience, knowledge, and skills. Some noteworthy comments made by the participants follow: GREG EXNER GA NORTH AMERICA “This training was high value in the group that it encouraged deep introspection and appreciation of what it means to be a leader/manager at Grupo Antolin. Questions were asked and issues were put on the table for open discussion that normally stay hidden in everyday work activities. Great opportunity to meet other managers”.

On this occasion, we continued to count with the collaboration of Adecco Training (training consultant of Grupo Adecco, world leader in Human Resources solutions), the focus of which combines 2.0 technology with the involvement of third party professionals which allow for the participants to learn experientially, discover the concerns of other employees, define and establish an action plan for transferring their learnings to the workplace and complete a final project, based on a real situation, through which to strengthen the competencies focused on. The methodology used that makes it possible to achieve and transfer knowledge, resulting in impact:

GARY HAWKINS GA NOTH AMERICA “Excellent resources to re-inforce awareness of employees’ and company’s needs for success should be mandatory for all management”. KURT HOADLEY GA ILLINOIS “The training is very practical and will directly and immediately affect my performance in a positive way. I enjoyed the exercises and groups activities. The “outdoor” experience was a great way to relate training material to interpersonal relations. Overall extremely valuable with immediate returns”.

The current business environment demands leadership capacities within organizations. Grupo Antolin has adopted a unique focus to help perfect its professionals’ leadership abilities. This perspective is based upon the strengths of the individuals that compose the organization and their strongest skills so that each professional will make a singular and special contribution toward the achievement of the company’s objectives. grupoantolin

Commercial convention Building One Team The slogan Building One Team was leitmotif of our Sales Team Meeting held between December 11 and 12 at our headquarters

RED UET in Vigo Once the UETs were implemented, a doubt arose as to how we could evolve while upholding the purpose of the UETs. How could we progress beyond a formality and touch its soul? How could we achieve team progress as its heart? How could we improve participation while upholding the teams’ values and culture? For this reason, Grupo Antolin-Vigo and Grupo Antolin-PGA have wanted to help leaders improve their management by achieving a shared sense of ownership over the UET and its results amongst all of its members, making an effort beyond attending meetings to review indicators, transform them into development opportunities for both the team as a whole and its members as individuals, in searching for results. We have launched the UET Excellence and Development Radar (RED UET).

and at Grupo Antolin Aragusa. The sales team was able to debate its objectives and share its concerns in order to gain efficiency when satisfying our clients’ needs. The meeting was a great success, given that the team was stronger and more motivated than ever.

EXPERIENCE FEEDBACK GRUPO ANTOLIN-VIGO AND GRUPO ANTOLIN-PGA What was our objective? To qualitatively improve UET meetings, helping the leader and the teams during the process. How did we achieve this? We defined a management standard, including both quantitative and qualitative aspects, promoting employee participation, structuring communication, training and actions that implied added value for the meeting. Once the standard profile and its objectives were set, all aspects were shared with the Leaders of each UET, in order to later start observing each one. After participating in the UETs, each leader was given feedback and, based on the results, an Accompaniment Plan was agreed to. The plan and its development goals depend on the Team, the Leader, and the actions range from formal matters to training provided for collaborators during the same, passing through the designation of personnel for presenting indicators, etc.

Levels of both quality and of taking advantage of the monthly opportunity for upward communication were calibrated. Actions for improvement for both the Team and the Leader were established Individuals that could contribute toward the depth of team indicators were identified. Good participation levels were detected, proven by the overall open attitude when commenting on concerns regarding indicator-related issues as well as matters that were external to the UET itself. Communications of each UET are undergoing improvement within the general, defined communication plan. Last of all, the worries that arose related with the loss of “intimacy” of the UET were overcome when witnessing the spirit behind the evaluations, given that the process is not an audit, but rather, reinforcement.

Plastic injection molding course In fulfillment of the commitment of Grupo Antolin to the internal transfer of knowledge, on November 20 we held at GA-Aragusa a training course on Molds for Plastic Injection. Persons across different organizational areas related with the world of plastic injection participated in the course, led by our colleagues Paulo Curado, Carmen de Ulibarri and Noelia Zarate. The purpose of this training was dual to present the key technical factors for achieving optimum results of the pieces: raw material – mold – injection process at the plant, while explaining the operations of the mold department to enable coordination with the rest of the injection team.

We would like to express our appreciation to GA-Aragusa for having lent their facilities to explain the injection process under real conditions in front of the machine, where furthermore, participants were able to see and work with the interior of a complex mold at the maintenance workshop.

The sum of these factors: the process, the support of the injection simulations and a good product design based on feasibility are what make a project result in quality pieces to assure success with the client, success which has an effect on Grupo Antolin, in having robust molds that facilitate the processes for lengthening mold life at our plants.

THE HISTORY CORNER

The Dodge brothers. Both brothers died in 1920 due to illness, but in different circumstances. At the same time, Dodge became the fourthlargest American automobile brand, surpassed only by Ford, Chevrolet and Buick.

DODGE a century of spirit The Dodge brothers were skillful mechanics, bicycle manufacturers and inventors who entered the automotive sector by supplying parts for the then automobile pioneers, Ransom E. Olds and Henry Ford. They converted their 10% stake in Ford Motor Co. into a small fortune and then created their own automotive company. Although the new company produced 249 vehicles in 1914, the following year the figure multiplied to 45,053 units.

The American automobile brand Dodge is about to celebrate its 100th birthday. The first Dodge passenger vehicle was born on November 14, 1914 - a 5-seat sedan later nicknamed “Old Betsy” - that cost 785 dollars.

In 1925, 5 years after both brothers passed away, bankers in New York acquired the Dodge assets for 146 million dollars. Then the company launched a new compact car, completely built of steel, becoming the leading automobile manufacturer in North America.

IN 1928, THE YEAR BEFORE THE WALL STREET CRASH, DODGE LOST MARKET QUOTA AND WAS ACQUIRED BY WALTER P. CHRYSLER ALONG WITH HIS CHRYSLER CORPORATION, COMPANY THAT, TO DATE, IS STILL OWNER OF THE BRAND.

Dodge, a century of spirit During the Second World War, the brand manufactures vehicles, parts and motors for planes. In high demand for their sturdiness and reliability, 400,000 automobiles are exported worldwide. 1914 “Old Betsy”, the first Dodge car

Power-Wagon Publicity. New uses after the war.

Dodge Power Wagon and the army From the beginnings of the automobile industry, the Dodge slogan as “Reliable” makes its owners popularize this reliability. The endurance of its vehicles fosters a close relationship with the U.S. armed forces. During the decade of the 60s, Dodge presents Dart, manufactured as a single piece. Dodge technology continues to evolve – movable driver seats and self-adjusting brakes are introduced.

Dodge in Europa At the end of the sixties, the Dodge brand was used in light commercial vehicles, mostly in those initially named Commer or Karrier, subsidiaries of Rootes, the British group acquired by Chrysler. The most popular series were the Dodge 50, greatly used by public service and military companies.

Over 100 years of Dodge, the company has had a full series of logos. It was born with that initial emblem of the Dodge brothers, founders of the brand in 1914, which was a world map on top of which appeared the star of David and the initials DB (Dodge Brothers)

Some models incorporated two wings on either side of the circle.

With the arrival of the 70s, the Dodge Polara becomes one of the first global cars to be manufactured in several countries. In 1978, the pick-up Dodge “L’il Red Express” is the fastest-produced vehicle in the U.S. At the end of the 80s, clients demand that authorization be granted for manufacturing the Dodge Viper prototype. This vehicle was a historical reflection of the classic American sports car. The prototype was finally presented at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit in 1992. The Viper was designed in record time and its launch was notoriously received.

In the 20s, Dodge used a simpler logo with only the initials (DB), interwoven.

A lot has changed since 1914, and Dodge has positioned itself as one of the most rule-breaking brands in our market. Since 2005, the Dodge brand has been known especially for its four-wheel drive vehicles, representing 78% of the sector’s sales.

In 1941 Dodge used the family’s coat of arms with the surname. It continued changing its shape on several occasions, until disappearing in the early 60s.

1966-1967 Dodge Charger Spoiler. Results could not be any better; David Pearson won 15 of 42 races in which he participated, also becoming Champion of the NASCAR Grand National Series in 1966.

Dodge Polara 1973

In the 90s, the convertible Dodge Dakota is launched, the first soft-top pick-up. On another hand, the Chrysler subsidiary returns to the NASCAR races. This decade also sees the presentation of the Cummins turbo diesel motors, Dodge “Big Rig” style.

In 1932, the emblem of a ram was used, created by the sculptor Avard T. Fairbanks in 1929, which over time acquired slimmer, more aerodynamic forms.

Dodge Polara

Again taking up the ram, over time the figure was reduced to a type of abstract shape that was extremely modernist.

After representing Dodge for almost 80 years, the male billy-goat ran off with the subsidiary RAM Trucks, which has kept this logo, representing strength, fortitude and power, no longer symbol of the ram brand.

A hard professional The era of the “muscle cars” takes up a fundamental chapter in automotive history, like rock in music or bell-bottom pants in fashion. During the 60s, Detroit, as the global epicenter of the automotive industry, signed up at the gym and entire America wanted to pump muscle. Amongst all of the bad boys roaming the city, one was especially famous for being tough, the Dodge Charger, and this launched his prolific career in the film industry.

Between 1962 and 1976 other logos existed, like the three-pointed “Fratzog” star, reminding clients that the Chrysler Corporation manufactured highly reliable rockets for NASA.

In the 70s, Dodge opts for a simple, moderate logo to transmit a sentiment of speed and modernity.

Vanishing Point (1971) Directed by Richard Sarafian and starring Barry Newman, Cleavon Little and Dean Jagger.A veteran of the Vietnam was makes a bet, that he’s capable of driving a white Dodge Challenger of 1970 from Denver (Colorado), to San Francisco (California), crossing the American southwest in just 15 hours.

Currently, Dodge is the new sports car division for Chrysler (subsidiary of the multinational FIAT consortium). Then, in 2010, the new logo was designed: the name of the brand and two, crosswise stripes passing through its end, said to symbolize the sporty and dynamic aspects of presentday Dodge.

To celebrate the 100 years of history of the Dodge company, the Chrysler Group presents a special edition of the Charger and Challenger. These have a more complete, cared-for design and a very attractive, specific decor.

The Dukes Of Hazzard (1979 – 1985) Series that crossed the frontiers of the U.S. The 1969 Dodge Charger owned by Bo Duke and Luke Duke, known as “General Lee”, faced countless chases and impossible jumps, becoming one of the series’ characters in its own right. ▪ grupoantolin
