BUSINESS SUMMARY HARTING develops, manufactures and sells electrical and electronic interconnect products, device terminations, backplanes and network components for networks or machinery, or for power and data application in factories. POSITION SUMMARY Responsible to support HARTING Manufacturing, Inc. and HARTING, Inc. of North America to ensure that products released for customer shipments meet the highest standards. This will be accomplished by performing the following duties: ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. • Perform thorough and complete investigations of customer complaints and where necessary assist in the subsequent approval of corrective / preventative actions culminating in a formal response to the customer. • Help staff and manage the quality assurance function to support the organization’s stated objectives and goals. • Maintain quality statistic to aid process improvements and measure their progress. • Assist in conducting internal audits to ensure that all HARTING processes are in accordance with relevant quality standards. • Conduct incoming inspection on required goods and maintain supporting documentation. • Confers with engineers, technicians, production personnel, and others regarding testing procedures and results and to resolve problems. • Calibrates test instruments according to specifications, maintains, and controls test and inspection equipment. • Conducts incoming, in-process, and final inspection for piece parts and finished products. • May perform other duties as assigned. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: • Bachelor’s degree (BS) in engineering from four-year College or University; • 5 years quality management experience in a related industry (electronics/backplane manufacturing) and training. • Implementation and maintenance of ISO 9001-2008 and/or AS9100 or other quality related standards. • Excellent customer service skills • Excellent written, oral and communication skills
