The FLOWERPOT is situated on the edge of the Derby City Centre on the main A6 road. A multi-storey car park is next to the venue on Chapel Street. This is open 24 hours. The Flowerpot is famed for its vast choice of real ales and is now recognised as one of the best live music venues in the country. The capacity is 250 if standing and 150 if the show is all seated. If you are travelling a long way, please check that tickets are still available for the show. If you are travelling by bus or train, the main stations are approximately 20 minutes walk from the venue - just head for the Derby Cathedral and the Flowerpot is 100 yards further on up the road.

First time appearances at the venue from legendary rock band FOCUS who are still fronted by founder member and Rock's only yodeller Thijs Van Leer. Also first time in for Ska legends The Beat, still featuring Ranking Roger. Welcome returns from Colin Blunstone, Gerry McAvoy’s Band of Friends and Martin Turner’s Wishbone Ash. A special night on the 21st March sees an acoustic performance by “From The Jam” fronted as always by Bruce Foxton. Blues always plays a big part at the Flowerpot and we are pleased to welcome back King King, Stevie Nimmo Trio, Danny Bryant, Stan Webb and an utterly brilliant performer who is at the venue for the first time with her band Grainne Duffy. 30th Anniversary Declaration Tour 2014 “Will Never Die”…. are the three words of intent from Mike Peters and The Alarm’s ’Sixty Eight Guns’ evergreen 1983 hit single which was at the centre of the band’s worldwide smash hit album ‘Declaration’ which will celebrate it’s 30th anniversary in 2014. A unique one man band ‘Alarm’ tour by lead singer and songwriter Mike Peters will present the album in a contemporary setting with performance, stories and images to highlight the impact this album had on the decade it was born in and it’s ongoing relevance as Mike Peters continues his personal fight against cancer with the Love Hope Strength cancer charity ‘Saving lives – One Concert At A Time’. Upon release in February 1984, Declaration debuted at number 6 in the UK charts, achieving gold record status before becoming a top 40 hit in the USA.
