Highlights From Pembroke Horse Meeting with Katy Gemmel The M&R Horse meeting last night was a great success at the Alice and Fraser Rec Center. Thanks to M&R and Purina, we are able to provide a great service to help guide our customers and future customers on making proper feed choices for their horses. A few highlights: I would like to give a special “thank you” to the Ottawa Valley Large Animal Clinic (OVLAC) and Dr. Megan Fine and Dr. Melissa Roshlow who came from Kemptville to discuss and answer all of our questions about equine dentistry and the importance of looking after your horse’s mouth for a long productive life. We hope you will join us again for future events! We need to give a big thank you to Sue and Francis who volunteered their time to come and collect all of the generous donations for the St. Josephs Food Bank. Sue was very excited to tell me this morning, we raised $90.00 and 100 pounds of food! Way to go! We had 72 horse lovers who filled the room! I have already heard very good feedback and many people were very pleased with the event. 10 of them went home with door prizes: Dawn Townshend: TriMAX Jackie Coughlin: Equilizer Kim Twohig: Halter and Lead Tara Robinson: Elite Morgan Coulas: BMZ Geena Stalbe: Horse Plus Kathy Coulas: Pur- a- Yeast Rita Codoreth: Purina Hat … and 2 more got Purina Hats… Congratulations! We need to follow up with our customers, to make sure we are in line with their needs and continue to provide this wonderful nutritional consulting service. Looking forward to more future events like these ones, as a team we can make it happen!
