The flexible second row is plenty sumptuous to transport your foursome to the course or driving range. That’s why the 2014 Odyssey is the first minivan ever to come with a built-in vacuum cleaner (Touring Elite). Candy wrappers, cookie crumbs and the bane of all beach outings – sand – have finally met their match.

Because dirt knows no boundaries, the Odyssey’s exclusive HondaVACTM goes where you need it. The vacuum is located in the driver’s-side rear of the vehicle, but can reach all the way to the front passenger area. The HondaVAC also includes two handy attachments, as well as a removable waste bin for quick and easy cleaning. (Touring Elite)

Honda LaneWatch 13 This innovative feature uses a small camera on the passenger-side mirror to greatly reduce your passenger-side blind spot. When you signal right, live video displays on your i-MID screen revealing nearly four times more area than the mirror alone. (EX, EX- L, Touring)

Forward Collision Warning (FCW)11 The new FCW system can detect the presence of vehicles in front of you and issues alerts when it calculates you are at risk of a collision. (EX-L and above)

Lane Departure Warning ( LDW ) 14 Using a small camera behind the rearview mirror, LDW can track lane markings on the road and alert you when it detects you drifting into a different lane without signaling. (EX-L and above)

Relax knowing you’re surrounded by airbags. Literally. Standard front, front side and side curtain airbags† can help reduce the likelihood of injuries in a collision. The side curtain airbags have a sensor that can detect a rollover, and then deploy the airbags. And SmartVent TM front side airbags are specifically designed to help protect the driver’s or front passenger’s upper torso in side-impact scenarios. † Honda

reminds you and your passengers to always buckle up. Children 12 and under are safest when properly restrained in a rear seat.

When the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) toughened up its crash-safety tests in 2011, the Odyssey did not flinch. In fact, it has passed with flying colors every year since, earning 5 stars in each seating position of all three crash-safety tests, as well as earning a 5-Star Overall Vehicle Score.16

Should you ever oversteer or understeer while driving, Vehicle Stability AssistTM (VSA® )* will work to brake individual wheels and/or reduce engine power to help keep you and your family on course. * VSA is not a substitute for safe driving. It cannot correct the vehicle’s course in every situation or compensate for reckless driving. Control of the vehicle always remains with the driver.

To help reduce the likelihood of whiplash injuries, the front seats have active head restraints. They move up and forward in a sufficient rear collision.

Because you can unexpectedly lose tire pressure, the Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS)15 will notify you when air pressure is significantly low.

Your Odyssey features the Advanced Compatibility EngineeringTM (ACETM) body structure, a Hondaexclusive body design that enhances occupant protection by dispersing crash energy more evenly throughout the front of the vehicle. This helps reduce the force transferred to the passenger compartment and more evenly disperse the forces transferred to other vehicles involved in a crash.

If you have a large family to haul around, the Odyssey provides up to five positions for LATCH-compatible (Lower Anchors and Tethers for CHildren) child seats.

Stop. Fast. Thanks to an anti-lock braking system ( ABS ) with Brake Assist, which can help the vehicle come to a stop sooner during emergency braking, and Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD), which helps balance braking forces during dynamic loading. Airbags inflated for display purposes.
