Job Description Department -Automobile R&D Centre in their HQ (Tochigi prefecture, Japan). Main mission -Auto body design and test. -Will be assigned one of their functional departments such as Engine, Mission body, Platform, Electric power plant, or Electric component and so on. -Where to be assigned is based on the person’s wishes, major, and the section needs. Examples of the technics -Electric power plant department is developing Electric Vehicles, Plug-in Hybrid Vehicles, or other very new technologies which are not yet come out to the market.

-Students or graduates in the engineering or science departments. -Bachelor, Master, Doctor, and graduates within past 3 years are acceptable. -Business level English (Honda may be going to provide Japanese lesson for daily conversation) -Highly-motivated, ambitious, and pro-active.

Career Path You are expected to be global leaders in Honda. As an Engineer  There are several career steps. The general case is to be a Project Leader (Function leader) after 5 years experience in Honda R&D. This is faster than other Japanese automotive companies.  After several years experience as Project Leader, you may be promoted to Senior Project Leader (Automotive Model Leader).

In the future  The associates from overseas are expected to be global leaders in Honda. Honda has 12 R&D laboratories in all over the world.  You may be located to R&D centers in overseas, for example, North America or Germany, as an expatriate or of course, you may have chance to be a local hire staff to manage local subsidiaries.
