SMOOTHIES ARE A GREAT MEAL CHOICE

The Holiday’s are over and so are the holiday food temptations. By now, if you are the average American, you’ve gained about 3.4 pounds throughout these festive times. What do you do now? You need to lose it because if you ignore it your body will begin to accept it. How do you do it? Start by increasing your cardio. Combine that with weight resistance training for the best results. The cardio will use more of that stored fat for energy while the weight resistance will build more muscle The more muscle you have the higher your metabolic rate. Remember, nutrition is just as important as working out. In fact, your fitness efforts will be wasted if you don’t get the nutrition right. One of the most important meals is your Post Workout Meal. A healthy smoothie is a perfect choice. Get one with protein added and drink it within 30-45 minutes of your workout for optimal results. You put a lot of effort into your workouts so make the most of them with proper nutrition.
