Janmasthmi Celebrations Janmasthmi was celebrated with great fun and frolic in the campus of Gyan Ganga on August 28, 2013. Various cultural programme carved the festive and students from all the boarding houses enjoyed the every bit of the celebration with full zeal and enthusiasm. Students participated in various activities such as Matkiphod, group dance, group song, solo song, solo dance etc. The programme started with the worshipping of Loard Krishna. All the teachers and boarding students who fasted for the day long did puja and praised Lord Krishna. The cultural programme was totally dedicated and based on the life of Lord Krishna which was presented by the students in various forms. The attractive phase of this function was the group dance performed by the boys of Shivalik House. The anchoring performed by Pradyum Patel, Swapnil Gupta, Shubham Chouksey, Aditya Mohan Jain, Shubham Yadav, Nitin Lakra, Vineet, Shubhanshi Chourasia, Priya Kaurav, Somya Pandey & Sakshi Patel. The winner of various competitions was Kanchanjunga House students who were the winners in all the rounds. Phenomenal number of students participated in the function. At last Prasad was distributed among the students and the whole campus was filled with the soothing environment of Bhakti of Lord Krishna.

Speaking on the occasion Principal Dr. Rajesh Kumar Chandel made students familiar with the importance of celebrating Janmasthmi in such a way. He explained the importance of creating Matki by saying that such organization develops brotherhood, harmony and team work among the participants and the people who enjoy the every bit of it.

He also encouraged the students who displayed the life of Lord Krishna in the form of cultural presentation and urge them to learn the moral values from the life of Lord Krishna who told that a man should work hard without expecting the results of his own choice. He congratulated the winners of house show and appreciated the hard work done by the students and teachers for making the occasion a grand success.
