Background summary and credentials: Graduated and was a scholarship golfer for FSU. I spent a year in Vietnam after FSU. I worked as an assistant in the Met Section and received my PGA card in the Fall of 1974. I became the Head Professional at Mount Snow Golf Club in 1975. I started the Golf School at Mount Snow in 1978. I was also Director of Golf for Mount Snow Golf Club. The School became one of the largest in the country with a staff of 25 full time and 10 part time professional instructors. The school expanded to 7 new venues, three are still in operation. I currently own and operate two schools, one at Mount Snow and one at The Plantation Golf Resort and Spa in Crystal River, Florida. The school has graduated over 100,000 students. I have written four books that have been published. I am currently working on another book which will be distributed by Barnes and Noble. What was your motivation to become a PGA Professional? I enjoyed the golf business. I started in the golf business as a young boy at Bethpage Golf Course. The PGA was highly respected and it just doesn’t make sense to get in the golf business and not join the Association that helps provide jobs and education. What is your specialty in the golf business? I have been mostly on the teaching side. My teaching has been aimed at recreational golfers. I also feel I have been helpful in developing teachers.
