This is a fantastic opportunity for healthcare providers to attend a Central Manchester University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (CMFT) Nursing and Midwifery Conference on the 3rd September 2012. Titled 'Just the Way You Are' it will showcase and celebrate innovative, evidence based, and patient focused projects driven by the equality and diversity agenda at CMFT. The day will feature presentations from two eminent keynote speakers and will include workshops on topics such as Accessing Services, Navigating Care and Long Term Conditions.
Delegates will: Gain an insight into the latest developments to improve the quality of patient care. Evaluate the provision of opportunities within healthcare to facilitate equality and diversity requirements. Examine the future of health and care systems in improving support for people with dementia and other long term conditions and their carers. Consider how to work in partnership to overcome barriers faced by patients and carers affected by long term conditions and explore methods to support the creation of inclusive patient centered care. Explore how we can improve access to our services along with the provision of effective care pathways. Discuss how to improve public awareness and understanding to prevent discrimination. Places are limited and allocated on a first come first served basis. Cost for the conference is £30 for CMFT staff, £50 for NHS organisations and £80 for Non NHS organisations.
