Acted as a liaison between the Verano residents and the Verano Housing Staff Advocated for the concerns of the community, such as more sustainable options within the community, a less abrasive/harmful termite treatment plan, and concerns with the intrusiveness of various construction projects Worked with the Verano housing staff to pursue projects and community improvements, such as a composting program, installation of additional bike racks, and replacement of landscape with native, drought resistant plant species Responsible for maintaining a website and mailing list for the community Provided community services, events, and goods within a strict budget, which was planned out at the beginning of each year and revised as needed Planned community social events that addressed the diverse population of residents in Verano

Associated Graduate Students Social Committee - University of California, Irvine 2012 - 2014 Committee Member • Organized social events geared toward the interests of the graduate-professional student body at UCI • Worked on a team of 3-10 people to plan, prepare, execute and debrief events varying in size from 50 to 1000 people. FUNDING NSF Graduate Research Fellowship ($126,000) Eugene Cota-Robles Fellowship ($55,200) Competitive Edge Summer Research Program ($5,000) Recruitment Fellowship ($5,000) SMART Grant ($6,000) New Economy Technology Scholarship ($7,500)

SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT EXPERIENCE Software Engineering for Sustainability - University of California, Irvine 2012-present • Examined ways in which environmental sustainability can be incorporated into the software engineering process through use of: o A recommender system for eliciting software sustainability requirements o Sustainability requirement patterns, which will provide guidance on how to write specific types of sustainability requirements Co-operative Software Engineer - Ansys Incorporated Summer 2011 • Collaborated with the Add-in Infrastructure team to integrate and implement new functionalities into the existing Ansys Workbench product • Developed tools in C# and Python and wrote extensive unit tests • Obtained requirements elicitation skills by creating user stories and attending meetings Vertical Axis Wind Turbines - University of Pittsburgh Spring 2011 • Collaborated with a group as well as a corporate sponsor to develop a new wind turbine design based on an existing patent that reduced drag by using a rotatable flap system attached to horizontal blade arms • Created a scaled down model to test turbulence and vibration Co-operative Software Test Engineer - Ansys Incorporated 2009-2010 • Worked with engineering teams on evaluating 3D meshes by means of finite element analysis and regression testing • Created/edited test scripts written in Python and JScript languages • Trained and supervised new employees by introducing them to the ANSYS software and API
